billfan4life
XU and Miller officially offered Pettigrew today according to Dawson. And it seems that XU has emerged as one of two leaders, the other being Saint Louis. Obviously, if Gillispie comes back in the next two days with an offer, that makes things interesting. Proof that SLUincy is the other leader? I thought WKU or Duquense were the other leader, or is this Billikens.com spin?
Quest
There's no spin on Bills.com Why don't you go sit on that sausage, Honest Abe.
SLUDrew
To support Billfan's post, this appeared on cincinnatti.com. As has been said all along by Steffphon himself, if Kentucky offers he will be a Wildcat. Interesting open gym ...down in Elizabethtown, Ky. today. Just got a call from the Courier-Journal's Brett Dawson who was there, watching Ky. Mr. Basketball Steffphon Pettigrew. Sean Miller was there too. So was Gillispie. XU and Miller officially offered Pettigrew today according to Dawson. And it seems that XU has emerged as one of two leaders, the other being Saint Louis. Obviously, if Gillispie comes back in the next two days with an offer, that makes things interesting. Gillispie was at the gym watching Pettigrew for the first time, oddly seeing the 6-5 swingman playing against the likes of 35-year-olds (hey, open gym is open gym). Gillispie left with some game tape and said he'd be in touch. Pettigrew could be on XU's campus for a visit in the coming week. No word yet on Kennedy's visit, though it usually doesn't take long for word to get out when a player commits. That I haven't heard anything on that yet and the fact that Miller was in Elizabethtown checking on Pettigrew suggests that Kennedy didn't verbal to XU...yet. Nate Latsch
Anybody know what Kentucky's scholarship situation is like for next year? I believe the Wildcats are still in the running for the two unsigned McDonald's All-Americans, Jai Lucas and Patrick Patterson, but I wouldn't be surprised if those two ended up at Florida. - Nate
