alameda bob Posted January 26, 2007 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Last night I watched 2 1/2 college basketball games. #3 UCLA @ Cal came on at 6PM. The Bruins were easy winners, way too much talent for the Bears. Stanford hosted #25 USC at 8PM. Freshman Brook Lopez and his twin brother, Robin both started. Brook wound up the game with 18pts, 11 rebs, and 12 blocks and the Cardinal won 65-50. Then I saw the CSTV SLU game on my iMac. It was hard to see clearly, this tecnology has a long way to go to equal TV. The Bills won an exciting game, so I enjoyed that part of it. But wow, the school promo that played over and over is really weak. Even NCCs talked about their NASCAR major, which I thought made sense. But the SLU kid says, "the best thing is that it's here" and another invites the viewer to come down and check out the campus or go online. Compared to the ads for the other schools I saw earlier (which I admit are in a different class) the SLU ad looked pretty amaturish, even compared to UNCC's.
