  1. I was stunned when the announcers said that (first time in the A10 Finals). The kids really play hard and with passion. They are fun to watch and I am psyched for the final. The other thing is how physical the play was today and then super inconsistent officiating given the rough play. Fortunately, it was inconsistent both ways and seemed to even out.
  2. Yes, yes I can. This team had a six game A10 winning streak and has won 12 out of 18 A10 games. They have also been playing well of late, having come very close to taking down the top A10 team on the road. But none of that matters to certain people, like you, who desperately hate Saint Louis Univesity basketball. (I know I am feeding the troll, but I am honestly fascinated by people who seem to derive a perverse pleasure from intentionally injecting divisiveness without ever really contributing to the discussion.)
  3. Who from the staff has shared this with you? Who are you talking to from the coaching staff?
  4. Why does Yuri now decide to stop doing what worked all the rest of the game?
  5. No! The coach and the team executed a game plan that allowed us to win close in and in the paint. They pivoted when they needed to. I am ecstatic about the fact that this team performed when and how they needed to, in the manner in which they needed to win. And, they did it when the opposing team shot from the three in a manner that was clearly an anomaly. Most teams would have folded in these circumstances. This was a great win heading into the end of the season. Let’s enjoy it, and celebrate it for what it was.
  6. Yep. At one point in the 2nd half our three centers had more fouls than the entire Dayton team. Draw your own conclusions folks.
  7. Just curious, do you think a new coach will change the personality of the current players?
  8. Maybe, but given the fire we frequently see from Ford, I doubt he is teaching them anything soft.
  9. Turns out our mediocre players are much worse than their very good players.
  10. How about the players? Do you see fire? Hustle? Passion? Good execution? Other than what Hargrove brings, I don’t see any of the above from this team. These players absolutely know who they are supposed to guard from three - are they doing it? Sloppy, stupid fouls are frequent, poor shot selection is frequent. Heck, even the announcers are talking about our poor shot selection. Blame Ford for recruiting these players but quit blaming the coaching for the players’ poor in-game performance.
  11. I’m beginning to think Collins NIL was an agreement to never be taken out of a game.
  12. Interesting that you didn't ask me if that's what I thought Dan's defense should be, but rather you indicated that that was what I actually thought. Very grown up of you. Perhaps I overestimated the grown-ups' understanding of an idiom. While most commenters in this thread have been sympathetic toward Dan's situation, some were pretty judgmental. I have a fairly high degree of confidence that at least some of those individuals have been using their phone to text, email, etc. while driving. The grown-ups at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) have clearly done research that shows that texting can be more dangerous than driving under the influence. I am sure their intent is not to diminish the seriousness of driving while intoxicated, but rather to elevate people's understanding of just how dangerous, by comparison, texting and driving can be. Hence, the "glass houses" comment for those who sit in judgement of Dan as they may have engaged in behavior that was actually more dangerous (unless, of course, they have never used their phone to text while driving, in which case, I apologize).
  13. "A study by Car and Driver magazine showed that texting and driving is significantly more hazardous than driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The study analyzed and compared the length of time it took drivers to react when sober, legally intoxicated (0.08 BAC), sending a text, and reading an email. The results showed that texting affected the driver’s reaction time the most. As opposed to driving while sober and undistracted, when intoxicated the driver traveled four additional feet before braking, 36 additional feet while reading an email, and 70 more feet when texting. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that driving while texting is six times more dangerous than driving drunk. Reading or sending a text takes your eyes off the road for about five seconds. Although it might not seem like a lot, at 55 mph, it’s the same as driving the length of an entire football field with your eyes closed." Glass houses....
  14. Just curious, do you get paid for each "Lol" you use? Asking for a friend...
  15. Yuri is the new Stan Kroenke...
