Are these shooting stats real? Sounds good to me.
Seems to take a lot of shots for just under 3 minutes of playing time

I know there is little to no transparency in these Title IX cases, but is the Title IX office required to explain their punishment to those being punished?
Or is it really a case of:
”You’ve been suspended for 18 months”
”Why?”

All that matters is that she is free from perceived bias. She could be the most neutral hearing officer SLU has, but her twitter account will get destroyed if the lawyers want to show a pre-conceived bias.
I get your point, I just don’t think supporting women’s rights activities indicates a bias?

Either a frustrated Bess is gone after this season or a frustrated Ford is gone after the next one. Either way the SLU basketball is screwed for half a decade.
Bess leaving would screw SLU basketball for half a decade?

Maternity leave should not be a legit excuse. It's not like she's working on the loading dock at UPS or handling a Jack Hammer for cripes sake. She has the report, so put the kid down for it's nap, read the friggin' report, and make a GD decision already.
That’s not how it works

It gives me satisfaction to see this thread. My buddies and I have been annoyed with this same thing. Get rid of the # in front of each number! Also, with the team putting an emphasis on rebounds (even handing out a rebound chain), they should add rebounds to the video board stats. They could condense the existing columns and add rebounds.. # for player, P for points, R for rebound and F for fouls. Do it!
The stat layout on the video boards is terrible.

The big problem is we aren't Baylor or Ohio St.. Those programs have things working for them that SLU doesn't.
Are you suggesting Baylor came out unscathed...?

Yes, if this all plays out like I think it might. We won't have to worry about making any road trips anywhere this season. You got to have enough guys to put on the court to play those games. Forget about recruiting any D1 level basketball players for at least the next five years. SLU is going to poison in all recruits mind.
Jeez. There's sexual assault cases every year in division 1 athletics. This will likely mirror more of a 2013 Ohio State football case than the Baylor scandal.
This year's team will be highly impacted, and the players involved may not be around for future seasons. But the reason any of us are excited for this season is because of Ford's ability to get recruits. Until I hear Gordon has decomitted because of this, I'm still optimistic for our future.

50% of southern Catholics are white compared to 59% nationally. If you take out Texas (72% Hiapanic), the percentage of white Catholic in the south increases. But, I don't even know why that matters. Are you you assuming that Hispanic Catholic children are never going to go to college?
Plus, states like GA, TN, FL, and NC have seen big net domestic migration gains over the last few decades. You don't think any of those people where white Catholics?
WAT IS HAPPENING TO THESE THREADS

Gabe DeArmond is reporting that Martin is expected to hire Walker from Illinois as an assistant.

Seems like the consensus is that Travis Ford will take another coaching job if he wants to and will not if he wants to stay at SLU.
-
He hasn't been doing himself any favors all season, although I think it's fair to say his injury has had an impact.
For D1 players with over 100 3-point attempts this year, Crawford has the 13th worst 3-point percentage.

I thought SLU had always owned the Diablitos building? And the reason for turnover was (in addition to mostly unappealing restaurants) was because SLU would charge a difficult rent to occupy it. This was all heresay, though.
The guy who bought Humphreys is the worst.

I also do not understand the debate between Hines and Bishop. I thought the consensus was that Goodwin would be the primary PG, at least until Graves become eligible. I think Bishop would be a better two guard than Hines, obviously, but he'd compete for time against Roby and Henriquez. My gut says that neither of them will play much next year, barring any injuries.

High ankle sprains have been notoriously troublesome for many athletes, especially those who have to make quick lateral moves. They take a rather long time to fully heal. And that's for non-athletes!
I'm pretty sure Bishop exceeded the amount of play this season that would permit granting a medical hardship to preserve a year of eligibility. When players suffer a season-ending injury before a certain small percentage of that season's games have been played, they can apply for a medical hardship, but that's usually only a few games.
Basically, to think Jermaine is faking this injury to be able to transfer and still be a sophomore somewhere is inane, because it's not possible.
I'm not saying he's faking his injury. More saying that he might not see the benefit of coming back this year because he can save a year of eligibility.
After looking for an admittedly short time, it seems like the cut-off for medical redshirt is 30% of your team's games. At only 9 games played, it looks like he would meet at least that requirement.

Well ! I just got this blog all excited! I may had gotten under the skin of a few. My intention was to share my feelings to one in particular... But I am now glad I didn't write it like I ment it. Maybe this might make you guys have some sympathy for these kids that are keeping you entertained ... good people wish kids the best. regardless of if they are good or bad. Wishing Ford get rid of and run of players is heartless. Ford ent no dam Dean Smith! He barely JC!
I lost respect for him after I saw him throwing the kids under the bus ...
Good coaches don't say things like "we are the most unathletic team in the American " he keep talking about transfers who can't play until next year.
What about trying to coach and develop the guys who are here ... how about trying to win now. What's wrong with that?
One more thing. I believe that Bishop will transfer. Do you really think that he is hurt smh..
You guys might have you wish and have almost a clean roster with only a few Crews guys. Roby, Elliott and Maybe Zeke Moore ( that's if he doesn't run the FRESHMAN off.)
I am sorry I can't like that...
BTW I like Pistol.... he didn't yell at me ?
One more thing... kiss my white ass lmao
Disregarding, literally, everything else. I have also speculated that Bishop might have decided to transfer. However, this is based on some ignorance, I'm not sure how critical his injury has really been and I'm not sure the rules on the medical red shirt.
Anyone think I'm insane?

I don't plug my blog too often because it normally contains emotionally negative rants with bad hot takes, but I thought this one my interest you guys. It's a look at who the most out of place teams are as they relate to their conference. It's all predictable, but it's interesting to see how SLU racks up against all the other bottom of the conference teams:

Fall 2017 allegations against unnamed players (aka Situation 2)

You can be wildly supportive of the basketball program and still profess a strong opinion against the Title IX office and SLU administration. These aren’t mutually exclusive viewpoints.
In fact, I’d guess that’s the sentiment of about 95% of the board.
