  1. My DirecTV here in St. Louis shows the game being on tomorrow - channel 630.

Friendly's was advertised as showing the game on satellite, I believe that's what I heard on 101.1 today. I think satellite and charter are showing it, if you have att uverse they will be showing a-10 tourney starting saturday on CBS College Sports HD Channel.

  2. Memphis down 3 after 10 minutes. Would a loss early in the CUSA tourney might put them on the outside looking in?

Memphis down 9 at half. If they lose to Houson again, I can't see them making it in. Two losses to Houston, a .500 team with an rpi of 160/sos 121, 7-9 in conference. Not to mention Memphis lost to UMass. Memphis is OUT.

  3. To me, the best comparison I've heard was Cody to Linas Kleiza. Might not be as good, but similar player. Edit: Chosen One beat me to it.

I have to disagree with you guys on the Kleiza comparison. Kleiza was stronger, quicker, and overall more athletic than Ellis. Kleiza was bigger inside and a better overall player and the only thing that they really have in common is the perimeter game. They both have a good outside shot, with Ellis maybe having a slight edge from 3 point.

I like the Joe Alexander from W. Virginia comparison. They're both not the quickest and can't beat guys off the dribble, but both have good basketball iq's and work without the ball to get in position for a shot. Again, Ellis has an edge from 3 point but they both have nice mid range shots.

Ellis is still only a freshman and has a lot of time to improve his game. He is a great player and I can't wait to see him grow over the next few years at SLU.

  4. Seems a little rosy. No way Dayton is in without beating X on Friday. Too many losses, too many losses in conference, too many recent losses. Their "eye" test is more like a "get-poked-in-the-eye test" lately. They really don't have many factors going for them at the end of the season. I don't think we can get at at-large without winning all three games, but hey, we get a bid anyway for that! Getting to the final could probably put us in the first four out category, but the season is just not long enough for us to dig out of the hole we dug for ourselves in nonconf.

If we beat Rhode Island and Temple, and at least make it a game against X, we're in.
