  1. ISU jumper good, 28-14.

Salecich airball, Willie misses the tip.

    Salecich with the steal.

    6:45 to go.

    Salecich misses a trey.

    ISU misses.

Cody misses a three. Why are we shooting so many threes?

    ISU misses.

We only have one foul in thirteen minutes.

Willie for the deuce. Willie dominating the paint. 30-14.

  2. usually they do stream the SLU feed but not always. If it is on TV usually it will be streamed on that site or somewhere else. My fingers are crossed. The fall back is to listen via 101.1 but that is not always reliable either. I guess it is better than a few years ago when I would have to find the spot in my house (in OK) that would pick up 1120 KMOX and that was only possible at night.

radiotime.com is your friend. Just a few clicks and it's almost always all good. That's all I say.

  3. Rightfully so, we're all excited about the Bills making the dance in 2011. But what will their resume have to look like to do it? First things first, the A-10 is not going to be a cakewalk in 2011. With few exceptions, Richmond being one, most of the top teams are relatively young. Even some of the up and coming teams, St. B for example, are returning good young players. Still, I figure we'll be in the mix to be a top 4 team next year with a conference record similar to this year's 11-5. So let's go with 11-5 or 10-6 in conference. This could be tougher to achieve as we have to travel to both RI, X, and, ugh, Olean. I'm not sure if we have to take on Temple in Philly, but if we do that's gonna be a toughie as well. Second, we have to post a couple of wins over non con teams with RPI's of 50 or less. These signature type non con wins kept UD and RI in all the bubble talk right up until the end of the season, so it's vital we win a couple of those next year. Where do they come from? Georgia is the only BCS school on the schedule next year that I know of. GA came on during the year, but am not sure they're going to be an under 50 team. I don't know who's in this Cancun thing but hopefully we'll face, and beat, a team with the magic RPI number of -50. Also, we'll probably need to schedule a -50 school and play them on the road. It's imperative we get these wins, since going either 10-6 or 11-5 in conference is the best we can hope for, to give us some credibility with the committee. Assuming we'll have somewhere between 14-16 non games, it appears we're going to have go like 12-3 in non con games and two of those W's will have to come against some pretty good teams. If we go 10-6 in conference that makes us 22-9 for the year. Respectable but still not a record that's going to wow the committee unless it contains those all important big W's. Also, it would help our cause to beat X or RI or Temple on their home floor. It's unrealistic to assume we can win all 3 on the road, but we better pick up one W at a minimum at their place and maybe another in the conference tourney. Bottom line, while we have visions of dancing in March, 2011, we're all going to be chewing fingernails come next year's Selection Sunday.

Really good analysis. At best, we would've been a six seed in the NIT. That means there's at least 20 teams seeded higher than we would've been. While I think the program is moving in the right direction, and we could play better ball next year, there's no guarantee we can leapfrog that many teams. The ONLY, and I mean only reason, I'd want the tourney to expand to 96 is so we'd have a realistic shot at making it. SLU is always going to have trouble scheduling "BCS" teams home and home because there's too much risk of losing to us. It's a difficult road for SLU to make the Dance in it's current configuration regardless of the talent and experience we have.

  4. that was for a charity event

I was at the game vs. Charlotte when Lutz was coaching barefoot. Had something to do with fund raising for the Haiti earthquake. Lutz is a good citizen, good PR guy who loves his Niners, being an alum. He's from the area, and has coached at small colleges in the Charlotte area prior to his 12 years there.

It's a nearly impossible situation there. Little buzz in Charlotte for the home team, poor crowds, dominated by the ACC, especially UNC, which is huge in Charlotte. Charlotte has more UNC grads living there than any city anywhere. Feel sorry for the guy. 8 games ago they're ready to bust into the Top25, and now he's unemployed.
