  1. Roy, I think his assist total can be directly related to his shooting precentage. Nobody had to play on him. His guy could help out on other people. This directly result in the rest of the team not getting as many open looks or driving lanes. Thus, when he was in there last year he didn't have the chances to set other people up.

It will be exactly the same this year, if he still can not nail a jumper.

  2. Roy, you don't think Dwayne is one of the best passers on the team?

FGWL, I agree that Kevin is a great defender, but I don't think he can lock down the super quick guards. Our best defense last year at creating turnovers was with Polk on the court. I know this will p.o. Roy, but it is true.

If the team is going push the ball and try to create turnovers they will need Polk out there. But, if Polk shoots like he did last year this is all for not. Then every team we face will lay off him. He won't have a chance set anybody up or use his speeed to get in the lane.

  3. It all depends on Polk's ability to hit the outside shot. If Plok can hit at a respectable rate ,he is the best option. He is better defender agianst guick guards, ball handler, and better ball distributor out of a trio of him, Danny, and Luke. Tommy doesn't need to bring the ball up the court for you to run the offense thru him. In fact, against the press Polk is the best option. It all depends on Polk's ability to hit in games.

  4. What i understand is one side of the court the front row seats will be luxury boxes courtside. the other side club type seats. This will be like the first eight or nine rows. There will be no premium or psl for any other seats.

One thing to remember is all the seats will be better and closer in the new building. It will be a basketball first facilty.

  5. The acedemic program there is top notch. I think the plan for the kids there is to stay an extra year and then enter the draft. You don't have to go to college. You just have to be one year removed from your graduating class.

  6. There is no way Bosh doesn't make the team in 2008. No way. He is a coach K type of player. Miller might have the best international style game of any US player. V come on, you know the type of players coach K likes. No way those two get cut.

Melo may have the best highlight moments so far, but he hasn't been close to the player LeBron has in play so far. Bron has dominated on both ends of the court. Head and shoulders above anyone on the team. Not even close.

Arena taking Hinrich's spot. V, do you really understand what type of team they are putting together. They have enough scorers. Arenas brings nothing else and is a terrible defensive player.

  7. Who would you gut from the WCOB roster to make room for Redd, Marion, Bryant, and Stoudemire. I agree with you that Bryant and Stoudemire will be on the team. When you like at the roster I don't see any spot at all for Marion. I think Redd should be on the team but that means Carmelo is gone.

Anthony has not been this team best player. If you have watch any of the games LeBron has been far and away the best player and D-Wade #2. With those two Carmelo becomes expendable. You are not going to drop either point guard for Redd. One might get cut later on for Chauncey, but no other way Coach K is cutting Paul or Hinrich.

    Here is the final roster:

Selected for the 2006 USA Basketball Men's World Championship Team were: Carmelo Anthony (Denver Nuggets); Shane Battier (Houston Rockets); Chris Bosh (Toronto Raptors); Elton Brand (Los Angeles Clippers); Kirk Hinrich (Chicago Bulls); Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic); LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers); Antawn Jamison (Washington Wizards); Joe Johnson (Atlanta Hawks); Brad Miller (Sacramento Kings); Chris Paul (New Orleans/ Oklahoma City Hornets); and Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat

I have problems finding a spot for Marion at all. Anthony will have to be cut for Redd.

  8. Who would you replace on the roster with Redd. Don't tell me Hinrich, you need guys like that. If you want to dump Carmelo then I am with you. The team could use another outside gunner.

I would take Amare for sure.

Marion and Peirce are a close call, but you have alot of guys that are similar type players who are much better. If we have learned anything from the last few teams, it is that it is not always about having the most explosive or atheletic players. You have to have guys that fit as a team. So, I would say no on those two.

  9. How would you lay out criteria with out give out examples.

Also, you don't have to have football to be a major. I just dont think any such exist right now. The Valley is getting close. I would have consider the Great Midwest a major. Never consider the CUSA a major, it didn't have the same focus on top flight hoops as the Great Midwest.
