From what I understand Florida isn't really an option, if he leaves the area UW is the only true contender.
The Illini have regressed the past two seasons under Weber.
MU will get better under Anderson for sure. But, why would a talented player with NBA dreams want to play in that system? In twenty-two years that system was used at Arkansas and UAB combined it produce just seven NBA players. That is with getting some of the best talent in the country year in and year out to play at Arkansas. If you dream of playing in the NBA you do not want to play in that system.

With the regional in town the city will be buzzzing. Does anyone know if any other recruits will be in town this weekend? They should also try to use opening day for the Cardinals for bringing in some recruits.

Moy, I don't mean you. I think you, 72, Drew, and many others would like to see nothing more than Brad get this thing rolling in the right direction. There are others that I really do wonder about. They are becoming so invested in being right about Brad that thay are willing to have the program struggle for what they think will be the short term to be proven right.
Moy, I also think that there are people on here who are now so invested in Brad being the right guy for the job that they refuse to see some big areas that he was deficient in the last twelve months.
I am not going to name the names that I belive that about for either side of this topic. That will make this whole board about them for the next couple of days and that is the last thing this Board should be about. Well the last thing this board should be is a negative for SLU's recruiting, but I am afraid it is already be used against them.

That this is the same person some people were bitching about us recruiting when his name first came up.
He would make a pretty good addition to the team from everything I here. I think he would enjoy being the starting point guard when the new building opens and having KL and TL to distribute the ball to.

I think some people wont to see everything with the program flop. They don't want to see anything good happen so they will be proved right. Why else is there all the constant bitching when it is not going to change a thing in the near term. In fact, it will only hurt the program.

Look I don't think the past 12 months have been a good 12 months for Brad. In fact if I had to give him a letter grade for the past 12 months I would give him only a D+. That said I don't think he should be fired and lets face it he isn't going anywhere for the next year at least.
All this continued discussion on this topic is doing nothing to help the program and in fact it is probably hurting the program. It has already been brought up that other staffs are telling recruits that Brad is in trouble. If I was competing against SLU for a recruit I would make sure I gave them the address to this site. This continued debate is only hurting the program at this point.
While true Billiken fans that only want the best for the program make many of the comments on this topic, but many are posted by others. People are posting on this topic that have their own agenda. We have AAU coaches, high school coaches, friends of passed over recruits, family members of passed over recruits, wannabe street agents, fans of other programs, people trying to say they were right about Brad from the start, and people who just want to stir up ##### posting on this topic. What is in these folks' best interest is not the same as what is the Billikens best interest and often their best interest directly conflict with what is in SLU best interest.
This topic is being used against SLU in recruiting battles and I am afraid this board is being used against the program too.
I will longer post on this topic or respond to any post on this topic at least till the end of the fall recruiting period. I would encourage every other fan that wants the best for the program to do the same. After that lay in to Brad all you want. By then we should all be able to agree on where the program is headed. Till then I think all this discussion is just hurting the program.

But, what is not fair are the shots at the fans. That is what Bernie has been doing.
The school and the coach have a responsibility to put the best spin possible on the season and the future. People on here should not be upset when they put that spin out there or when they get called on it.
Let's be honest about the situation. The season was a disappointment. The season was not historic in anyway. Soderberg's weaknesses as a head coach were exposed like never before. Brad deserves nothing higher than a D+ for the season (this is coming from a guy that backed him strongly coming into the season).

It is supposed to be a date night with my girlfriend, but screw that after tonights win. We need to take over that place. Everybody in town lets head to Flanery's. TigerTime if you bring Floyd, I will be sure to bring the walkie-talkies.
Let's get sauced watching the Bills pull-off the AC Miricle. Then get sauced some more afterwards. I will have some friends of mine with me that I am trying to convince to become season ticket holders. Lets show them how much fun it can be being a Billiken fan.

Bills 73-68. by an hour before game time I will have myself so pumped I will be calling for a 15-20 point win, so I will make the saner prediction now.

Huggy can flat out coach, but you have to be willing to take the baggage that comes with him. Biondi would never consider a Huggy type for his coach.

Duke is in. It is a down year for them, but they have done enough that they have nothing to worry about

Great games against other schools. They don't happen because you can make a car trip to bloomington-Normal or Evansville. Great games against Umass, Dayton, XU, and St Joe. The rivalries are really starting to build.

I meant it was premature to worry about losing Shimmy this off-season. It time for the school to start moving to lock both of them up now. I believe that strongly. THe price will only start to grow the longer they wait.
