I don't think anybody is believes anything on here is going to be the ultimate decision maker on Peterson coming here or not. It was nice to have a thread were everybody wasn't going after each other. It was nice to have a thread where fans were talking about the plusses of the program instead of the minuses.

No good can come from a pro player reading the sports setion everyday and they all still do it. It is human nature. Players on the team read this board, they all may not admit, but they do. Recruits read this board. Players parents read this board and post on it. Recruits parents read this board and post on it. Pistol on this you are just flat out wrong.

They are just like anybody alse they want to know what is being said about them. It is basic human nature especailly for a kid.

It is easier to coach someone how to mugg someone than it is to coach the fundamentals.

They were complaining about the officiating the whole game, too. If anything the officiating helped SIU. They allowed SIU to play the SIU mugging style of defense. I thought one really telling comment about the game was when the announcers stated that KU didn't call any fouls in pratice all week to prepare for the way SIU plays.

It is sad, but these stories pop up about once a week. A google search of of the words "show and tell crack" turns up 3,030,000 hits. If you don't find away to laugh at these stories you are going to be a pretty miserable person.

That if a perspective recruit would type in Billikens into Google (a good possibility, since most people don't what our nickname means) the first choice Google gives him is this site.

Hey Flyphan why don't you tell us all what a happening place Dayton is? Are you pumped for another summer of minor league baseball? Why did the Wright Brothers invent the plane? They were loking for the fastest way out of Dayton.

We have read your promises on here before about changing your tone. Let's see if this one sticks if Peterson gives us a verbal.
Jeff we really do want you here and our coach is not going to be interviewing for any higher profile jobs in the next few weeks. Alford has already left Iowa and who knows where Miller will be by the signing date.

The tone on this board lately is we can't compete with anybody, much less the big boys. So all we are supposed to do is knock the program and the coach on here for the next year, at least.
Seriously, any recruit that might on chance read this board, SLU would be a great choice for you. It is a great school. It is located in a great area. You will get to play with two great players for the next two seasons. You will get to be part of something special when the new arena and practice facility opens in '08. You will have people that look out for you after your basketball days are over. You will play for a coach that is a fine human being and has your best interest at heart. You will also find playing time avalible right away. Come to SLU we would love to have you.

It is just a little bit strang to have a bunch of grown men get excited about recruit possibly coming to SLU. What is a matter with you guys wanting a recruit to come to SLU? What is a matter with you guys posting words of encouragement and saying goods things about SLU? I just find this whole thing disgusting.
