  1. I didn't say that. I said bcs programs have a built in advantage and that is easier to compete a high level at them yearly. I never said that non-bcs schools couldn't compete and couldn't land recruits. I said they just have a harder time, becuase the don't have the same infastructure as football bcs schools have. If you are going to compete at these other schools and hope to remain copetive over time you must make the committment from the top down.

Drew you are just starting to read what ever you want into the opinions of people who don't agree with everything you say. Almost everyone on this board believes it can and should happen here. 90% of the posters on here believed at the begining of the year that we would be in the tournament. I still think we should have and I put the blame for that squarely on Brad's shoulders. But if you want to cure the cancer you don't just treat the symptons, you have to cure the cancer itself.

  2. You do know that Spoon basically gave up on recruiting and eventually retired because of promises not delivered on by both Biondi and Woolard. There was stuff budget wise and facility wise that Spoon was promised when he took the job here that were never even attempted to be delivered. Some of those things now are only starting to cometo fruition and others are still waiting to be addressed. This all a decade after they were promised. The program was allowed to fall even further behind on these fronts even if it was already among the worst.

  3. They have been doing this longer than some of the posters on here have been alve. They were Gonzaga before Gonzaga. They made a committment to basketball from the top down over two decades ago and it has paid off. XU getting this kind of stuff done is nothing new.

  4. Doss is the same player he was his at the beginning of his sophmore year. He hasn't improved one bit in three years. He would show flashes every now and then but he never could put it together. Walker you have probably over hype more than any player in the area he was just a little bit better than average player nothing more. And Davis is just a guy nothing more nothing less. Powell is a stud. It is easy for youto say he should of touch the ball everytime down the court, but how do you know he didn't tell the players that. This years team had players trying to torpedo Bonner. They had Floyd in their ear telling them that AB wasn't using them right and they had to play for themselves.

  5. He should get consideration for coach of the decade. The record was not up to recent standards, but this was not the team that was on the cpourt last year or the team people thought would take the court at the beginning of the year. He lost players that did not live in the district and should have never been on the team before he got there. Had to scramble to get hhis team the basic necessities for them to play (uniforms). He also had a bunch of people even some players trying to make sure he he failed at every turn. What he did this year, in his first season coaching, to keep the whole thing from blowing up and produing the results they did is amazing.

  6. the members of the board were ordered by the feds to give all their info on Floyd over by the feds. There is a dead kid, tax evasion allegations, missing money, sexual assualt allegations, theft of property, and a possible police cover-up engineered by Iron's brother in an assault case. That is plenty to get the feds intrested with no input from the board.

That kid got killed right before he was supposed to be interviewed by the feds in the assualt case. I find that pretty intresting and I am sure the FBI did too.

  7. Both Grawer and Winfield were better players at the time. Glagget was a very raw player when he first came in. Winfield was a very good all-around player and starter at MU. Grawer became the sixth man on a sweet sixteen team. Clagget ended up becoming the better player but he wasn't then. Rich Grawer was trying to save his job and had to play the players that gave him the best chance to win. It is not like Julian and Kevin were stiffs starting ahead of him.

  8. I am arguing that some short term success will not make Biondi change the things that need to be changed to sustain that success. He will make promises to get this done but it won't happen. Just ask Grawer, Spoon, Romar, and Sodie about all the promises he made to them that he never delivered on.

  9. The Post writers only. They are supposed to knew what is going on the HS scene besides just the playoffss. It is what they cover all year. It is a POY award and not an MVP award or best colleg prospect going to a Valley school award. It should go to the best high school player in the metro area regardless of where his team finishes in state or to how is game will translate on the next level.
