First, Courtside I wasn't trying to bury Brandenburg. I was just pointing out that he had a very pedestrian junior season. I am not sure everything that led to it, but he didn't look like a big time player this season. If he has the same kind of performance this summer his stock will drop dramatically. I am not saying that he will have a bad summer. I am just saying that he has to pick up his game on the AAU circuit. Would you not agree Courtside?
Second, There is a much better chance that Suggs and Kramer end up at the same school than Suggs and Brandenburg. I am not saying it will happen, but SLU is still very strongly in the running for Suggs. No matter what some people might be saying (Nate, I know you are only repeating what others tell you and are not making anything up). The only way I think Brandenburg and Suggs end up playing together is if they both end up going to SLU and that is not very likely as of right now.
Third, if Brandenberg ends up going elsewhere, I don't want to hear anyone saying that he wanted to come to SLU. He has made it pretty clear by his actions and his statements that this is not his first choice. I am not saying we have no chance, but that in his mind right now this is not the place he wants to go and has never been his number one choice.

If you want to go after Brad fine. There is plenty to go after, but this place has completly gone over the top. No Slu coach ever is going to sign every player he goes after or even the majority of players he recruits. None. Ever. This doesn't happen anywhere except the likes of Duke and UNC. So be realistic.
If you don't agree with everything certain members of the ABC say you have low standards or have you have your head in the sand. If you point out problems with the program's infastructure you are a Brad apologist. Give me a break.

Powell would be great if he qualifies. I don't think Brad can take that chance. He needs guys that can play now. If you hold the last scholarship for him till he gets the grades or the Pettigrew thing plays out fine. The third and fourth spots have to go to guys that can give the team minutes right away and you know will be able to get into school. Hopefully one who can start at the 4.

Don't know if we will know if the make up of the whole class by then or not. A lot of the jocu kids won't sign right away. I would feel a whole lot better about the class if was all said and done on that date. Brad make or break time is approaching quickly.

This past high school season, he will not be a big name recruit. He really needs to show that his high school season was a fluke. I know the DeSmet guards didn't do a god job of getting him the ball, but he looked super soft when I saw him play.
-
Why would he switch to SLU? He would have to sit a year because he has already signed a LOI. If Donavan bolts, he will either stay at UF or follow Donovan to UK. Landing him is a pipe dream. I would love to see it, but I just don't see that happening.

I am not asking for people to support him so much as to quit the constant whining about him on here. It is old and tiresome. Look I am not happy with the guy, but coming on here constantly bitching and moaning about does no good. It doesn't make you have higher standards than anyone else on the board.
He is not going anywhere. People whining on this board is not going to effect the decision making process of Levick or Biondi. If you want to have an affect on that cancel your season tickets and quit giving money to the program. Complaining non-stop on here about makes you all look like a bunch of whining two year-olds. The decision makers could really care less about your opinion if you don’t or can’t do those things.

When I was in eighth grade at Crossroads we had a senoir who put up 33ppg. He was either first or second in the metro area in scoring. He didn't even play college ball. The numbers were inflated because we didn't play anybody.
-
For your insight.
-
Because he is the head coach and the face of the team. HE WILL BE FOR THE NEXT 12 MONTHS AT LEAST. Not a damn thing any of us can do about it. You can either whine about it constantly which is your favorite thing to do or you can support the team and hope for the best.

Only two posters on here said the season was a success. So there you go again making something up. Many posters repeatedly made this statement. Really, who were they? And don't tell me to read the post. You are the one stating it as fact, so prove it.

Most of the ABC crowd will admit that there are other problems with the program besides Brad. They just think Brad needs to go first. Courtside falls into this category himself. He has stated multiple times that you get a winning coach here first and then that will encourage the other changes to be made.
There is another group that thinks that while there are some big problems with the program it doesn't make Brad imune from taking blame for the problems that he has caused for himself with his team. These tend to be people who think that Brad needs to get his act together now. These next two signing periods and next season will determine where Brad sits in their minds.
There is a third group out there that believes all of Brad's problems are a direct result of the infastructure of the program. They don't think Brad is to blame for any of the problems and don't think any pressure should be on Brad.
Most people I believe belong to the second group. The next biggest group I would say is the first group. The third group is tiny.
I think I belong to the second group.
You 72 might be the only person believes that Brad is the only problem.

That is what I thought.

You been on this rant for a few days now, so who said?
Who said we shouldn't be what XU, G-town, Gonzaga, Marquette, or Butler are?
You keep on coming on here acting like you have these higher standards than everyone else and you flat out don't. We might disagree about the best way to quickly reach those standards, but we all have the same expectations. Don't go acting like we don't.

Who said it? People believe we won't be able to get every recruit becuase of academics, but nobody said we shouldn't get any. We have some disadvantages that some other programs have and some others do not. Pointing them out is not giving the program a free ride. There is plenty to point out wrong with the program. You don't have to go make stuff up about the fans on here to discuss a problem with the program. We know the program can and should be better. You don't need to go be a smart ##### and make stuff up to point out this program is not what it should be.

Refrain from using words like "erudite" in the future. Our little brains out here in billikens.com land can't handle it.
-
Nobody on here is saying that, except maybe one person. 99.9% of the people on here believe we can and should be doing better. There might be a difference in what people believe the problems are, but we all believe the program should be better. Most of the people on here also agree with what the problems are, but disagree what order they need to be addressed. Making a comment like that is no better than some of the misinformed stuff Bernie was putting out earlier.
-
From now on please use the word "CORRECTION" instead of the word "CLARIFICATION". We would not want to upset the god awful Guy Phillips. I know they don't mean the same thing, but lets go for consistency here.
-
Glad to here your little brother has "TUP". I look forward to Vtime posting on the board for the next five years asking if we are recruiting this kid.

I think would be landing Alexander and MG or Eberhardt with the third and fourth open scholarships. This would improve us immediately at the starting 3 and 4 spot. It would allow us to move Polk and Meyer to the first guys of the bench, where they would best serve the team.
You could run a traditional half court offense where you don't ask BH to do a much on the offensive end. You just need him to fill a lot of space on defense and grab some rebounds. Just get 25 minutes out of him a night and hope AK can give you the rest.
With the last you hope you land either Pettigew, Peterson, the kid from Pittsburg or any of the other high school kids being mentioned.
I would be extremely happy with a class like that.
