  1. Fair enough on the suggestion I made when it came to your political tilt.

Imus, averaged under 500,000 unique viewers every week on MSNBC. It was basically the same 300,000 to 400,000 people watching daily. Imus was not even in the top 10 rated morning radio shows in his home base of NYC. What Imus did deliver was a very desirable demographic for advertisers. I do not believe that translates as overall influence on public opinion.

  2. I hope you are wrong about that. If we want to be a solid tournament team Luke Meyer would not be an ideal starter. Some of the names being mentioned in the recruiting battles right now are better players than him, IMO.

I like Luke and he is one hell of a gusty player. That doesn't mean he should be an automatic starter for a team that hasn't been to the tournament in over a half decade. This team needs an immediate talent upgrade.

  3. Drew, I think you are really selling BH short. In fact along with KL and TL, I think BH is the only sure starter. Hopefully the guys we sign will at least push and hopefully beat DP and LM for starting spots. I like both guy and think they can contribute to a tournament team. I have a hard time believing either of them could ever be starters on a non-bubble at large tournament.

  4. Courtside I agree with a lot of what you posted on this topic, even thou I get the opinion we might come from different sides of the political spectrum. But, I disagree with you about the impact of the Stuart Scott comments. Stuart Scott his heard by far more people on a regular basis than Don Imus ever was. Between ABC, multiple ESPN TV networks, ESPN radio, ESPN the magazine, and the ESPN website Stuart Scott has a far greater reach and influence than Don Imus has ever had. Don Imus was well known inside the beltway and amongst the political and social elites. His influence never extended beyond that group.

  5. I give Woolard a hard time often, but Champion was an outstanding hire. Champion has done an outstanding job. I think he will be able to more than hold his own as other programs start to rise. He really has all the local girls really wanting to come here. A key to the program's continued rise will be how soon they fund all the scholarships they are allowed now.

  6. Just wanted to tell you I think you are doing a really nice job on the blog. I don't always agree with you, but you put a lot research into backing up your points. I would also like to apologize for assuming the worst when it game to the post situation. You don't have a track record of doing stuff like that and I should not have assumed that is what happened. For that I am sorry.

  7. If we get MG and RA, Bryce would't have to do much for you on the offensive end. What I think he would bring on the defensive end would more than make up for what you lose on the offensive end. You could definitely use his size and shot blocking ability, he showed when he got minutes, when nobody else on the floor will be over 6'7".

  8. I think think the committee did a terrible job this year.

I still have a big problem with the team placements. I understand that Florida was the number one overall seed and thus was to be sent to the closet regional final site to them, but it didn't make sense not to break that rule this tear. Florida would have brought the same amount of fans no matter where they played this year. None of the sites was an easy drive for UF fans.

They really screwed up with what could have been packed house with KU and SIU playing at the Ed.

  9. I have never accused you of that. I have never said you had any kind of agenda. In fact I have defended you multiple times on here when it comes to this. Have I not?

I just think your posts lately have tended to be for more negative lately. I thought this one was unnessesarly negative. I know you don't have an agenda when it comes to SLU.

  10. I did not compare them as players. I did not say that have the same talent level. I used KL as an example of someone that flew under the radar because he did not play AAU ball.

I agree with about not getting a alot from Mitchell right away. His game is raw and he really needs to work on his shot.

  11. I did not see the other post that followed mine. I definitely understand your decision with that information. I thought it all seemed a little strange and not how you usually operate.

I agree with you about the way the board has been going lately and some of my comments have probably not helped it. I will try to eliminate the bs and sh*t disturbing post on my part.

I think a lot of people have been taking every thing on here just a tad too serious recently. Folks, it is an internet message board and nothing more. It should be a fun diversion from the suff we have to put up with all day.

  12. Nate was is your deal lately on here? You have seen Mitchell play and you know Mitchell is not a ##### player. You know Mitchell did not get a lot of the attention he deserves because he did not play AAU and the fact he didn't blossom as a player truly till his senior year. You know that not playing AAU can cause a player to fly under the radar or have you already forgot about KL?

I am not saying the kid is a five star player, but he has some game and will eventually be a contributor.
