Anyone know what time the guys are starting today? I called the athletics office and no one picked up. Anyone know? Thanks.

Cajun is correct, this week was the end of midterms. Like he said its more of a way to see where you stand. But seriously these rumors, and thats what they are, have got to stop. They come up every semester and are lies. Tommie has apparently been working really hard on his schoolwork and I think he should be commended for that. Maybe Yukkie is the guy that Tommie hit that game winner over against UMass and still has hard feelings?

Anyone planning on attending? I'm going to try and make it after I get out of class.
-
Good report, however it is Theresa not Stephanie that is on the women's team.
-
I'm pretty sure I saw Powell there from Vashon.

1) Tommie
2) Kevin
3) Brad
4) Danny Brown
5) 1924

When they say three guys over 6'8" I think they are referring to Dixon, Knollmeyer, and Obi. Dustin is more like 6'4".

Article says we have a 84% graduation rate since 1999-2000.

I thought this was an interesting fact, "In addition, Billiken student-athletes graduate at a greater rate than the Universitys general student body, which is 75 percent."
-
Weber, along with the Dean of Students, and the University president are meeting today to discuss what actions to take on the incident.
-
They said at the last Billiken Club meeting that since Brad has been here everyone has graduated and everyone is on track as of now to graduate on time as well.

I have heard that a guard about 5'8" and another guy who is about 6'4" are the walk-ons. Second hand info though.

It says previously in the article, "Pullen ended up choosing the Wildcats over Dayton, St. Louis and others."
The quoted region of the article that you refer to states "three of the other schools in his final list." I think they are just stating that these 3 schools got other recruits already going there and therefore he chose not to go there because of that. We were on his final list. We just aren't part of the mix that Pullen did not choose because of other players already committing.
-
He may not be able to play yet because of an injury he suffered towards the end of the year. I think he may have torn an ACL possibly or something of that nature.
-
I also heard that they narrowed the list down to two players. One is 6'4" and the other is about 5'8" to 5'9". I don't know who the 6'4" kid is, but I've played with the 5'8" kid probably 4-5 times. He is a lefty, somewhat skinny, but can jump really well (dunks with ease) and he has a pretty good shot. Should be a good practice player for Polk and Kevin.

Picked K. State over Dayton and SLU

I was in there buying some stuff for school this morning and I glanced over some of the clothing that they had. Pretty crappy selection, but I did find some good stuff too. For all of you guys wanting some brand name merchandise they had some really nice Under Armour apparel, tshirts and polos. They had probably about 5 different colors including the only one that matters, blue. The tshirts were 24.99 I think with the polos being about 50 I think. Had St. Louis Univeristy on the top corner with the UnderArmour logo on the sleeve. Overall I thought they were pretty nice. Other than that though it was a sad sight with virtually zero billiken blue in the entire store.

Every once in a while I'll see some the guys playing pick up ball with other people at the rec. I haven't seen any games where it's just the players playing, but I've seen DB and Polk a couple times. On the other hand I've seen the girls team playing later at night on a couple of occasions.

Are you saying that Rammer is going to leave Slaten's show and be on with Frank now, or was it a one time spot appearance for Ramsey? Ramsey/Frank show is sure to get some Billiken talk I would say.
-
Anyone know who the guest speakers are going to be? Hopefully we'll get an update on how the arena is progressing and maybe some info as to how the team is looking/progressing. I'm looking forward towards my first meeting should be a fun time.

Why don't we just skip all the nonsense and just haul it down to my apartment now? Just picture BRoy with that TV strapped on his back walking down campus. That'd be worth giving me the prize to watch him struggle I think...lol Great promotion though! I'm sure it will get some studnets in the stands for Billiken Madness

Just because one goes to a private school it doesn't automatically mean someone can achieve necessary scores. The individual has to put in the work too.

tseugnekillib, I would say that he's 6'6" probably. However he looked like he has had no problems finding the weight room at all. I apologize for not getting over to say hi earlier today, I was waiting to get something to eat and I had class at 1 so I had to get going pretty quickly after the ceremony was over.

Terrible marketing job, but I'll be there after I get off work.
