Would you guys say that Tillman compares favorably to the likes of Lawrence Blackledge who played his high school ball with Justin Dentmon at Carbondale High School? I saw Tillman at the shootout this year where he had something like 10 blocks, each one more spectacular than the one before. I agree that he looks to have tons of potential and agree that he would be a great player for our staff to develop.

6'6" and 252 lbs??? That is huge! I hope its true, we could really use a body like that down in the post.

Moser got some really good players to commit to Illinois St. Dentmon committed to go there, but his grades weren't good enough and after he went the prep school route, Lorenzo snatched him up. He's started at Washington from day 1.
Gordon was newcomer of the year in the valley if I remember correctly.
Dodie Dunson from Bloomington H.S. (who I saw break his hand on the rim in an AAU game after he dunked over Brandon Rush of Kansas), who is now at Iowa State also committed to attend Illinois St. Much in the same manner as Dentmon, he too decided to go elsewhere after a year of prep school.

The SLU-Utah game was definately a night game, 48-45 I believe was the final score. All I can remember about the game was a guy from Utah missed a pass and had to run back and grab the ball where he then was forced to throw up a 35-40 footer as the shot clock was going off and made it. It simply killed us.
The SLU-UMASS game when Hughes was playing was an afternoon game, maybe that is what you are thinking about.

Josh Hancock, a relief pitcher for the Cards was pronounced dead last night after crashing his Ford Explorer on Highway 40. Game tonight has been cancelled.
My prayers go out to his family in such a tragic time.

Judging by the way that Biondi has been ridiculed in the press lately, if he blew this now, especially after yesterday, the press would have a field day with him. He can't afford at this point to make an ##### out of himself anymore than he already has.

Kids are definately talking about it. When Brad got fired last week, I was actually surprised. There were people all over the place talking about it, but since the talk of Rick Majerus possibly becomming the new coach, I have heard even more birds chirping about it. I just hope it is true, because students are getting excited about it IMO. There is still a long way to go though, as the majority of kids on campus still could care less about the basketball team. Time will tell I suppose.

Neither have used their redshirt season, thus, if they were to transfer they would sit out a year, and starting in the 2008-2009 year they would have 2 more years of eligibility left.

I also heard similar information that the procedure will put Danny out for an extended amount of time (6 months is what I heard.) Same as what BB Scout said, it is just info that I heard as well.

Last I had heard (about a month ago), he was leaning towards not playing at all, and solely concentrating on school. By no means is this official, just passing the word along from a friend close to the situation.

Robinson is not 6'8" by any means, I'd say more like 6'6".

Frank and Bob interviewed MG's coach a couple weeks ago. He said that he has a policy where he doesn't allow the college coaches to talk to his players during the season. They can send mail, come and watch practices/games, but no direct contact is to be made. This is probably why he hasn't made his mind up yet.

I knew that guy looked familiar. I was playing on the team opposite of him. They had a 3 on 1 break with me being the one back on defense and he dunked on me pretty hard..lol. Needless to say that was a pretty short game.

I can still remember this summer right after the situation with Floyd Irons came out, Knott had a sitdown interview with Irons. Renee had the questions he was going to ask written down on a card. Give me a break, the sign of a good interview is rolling with the person being interviewed. What a great opportunity for Knott to actually gain some credibility in this town, but instead he looked scared of Irons (or probably thought Irons was justified in his actions.) It's a damn shame that Frank C didn't get the head sports job he clearly deserved it.

Is that why Leverette advanced to the state 3 point shootout? He had 10 3's and led the entire sectional group in the 3 point contest before the game.

Nark, LeBron was simply amazing last night. The fact that the Pistons knew he was the only player on the floor last night that could do anything offensively and he still scored something like 29 of the last 30 Cleveland points was incredible. Everyone knew he was good, but his level of play these last 3 games has put him on another level in my opinion. Once he gets that outside jumper going consistently he will be untouchable. The ease at which he gets to the basket and is able to finish, added with that outside jumper? No one can stop that kind of speed and power.
