Request to Coach Soderberg: Use a full court press more often! If we can't give opponents "40 minutes of hell" ala Nolan Richardson's Razorbacks, could we at least try 10 or 20? Some of the players at the autograph session after the game told me that they enjoyed pressuring Houston late in the game.

Don't be so hard on Ross Varner. I think he made the most of his talent, and served his role well on this team.

Does anybody out there think that IV and JJ should have had a lot more minutes last night? The only way these guys will improve is to compete against top flight competition. There was obviously no way that we were going to come back and steal a win last night - why not let these guys play the whole game?

I am planning on playing this year!

I don't think Anthony Bonner came into his own until his junior year, either.
The same geniuses who thought that Frericks was a disappointment three months ago appear to have changed their tune!
Not many teams could march into Cincinnati and beat the bearcats on their home court when they played as well as they played Wednesday night.

I would also like to see us play Creighton every year or two as well.

Ian Voyoukas and Bryce Husak will also have ample opportunity to practice against Frericks, and hopefully this will help them both develop banging and scoring skills.

Jimmy McKinney's father called-in to talk to Frank
Cusumano this morning. One of the things he mentioned was that
coach Snyder has told Jimmy not to shoot the ball. That probably explains why Jimmy M. hasn't looked as good this year as might have been expected.

Am I missing something, or did this morning's Post not cover the SLU-Marquette game? They found space for the Wisconsin game, the Illinois and Mizzou games, and for every other game around the country.

It is almost impossible to understand what you guys in the band are singing during the "hey baby" song. Do you think you could post your planned lyrics on this website before each game? It would help us fans alot and we could even sing along sometimes.

How many games are won or lost at the free-throw line? I think that this reflects good aggressive play by SLU. Huge difference as compared to the SMS, Arizona and Georgia Tech games!
Perimeter offense usually doesn't get you to the free throw line very often. If we can continue with at least some inside attack we will obviously be much more competitive.

SLU CLASS OF 77, SLU MED 81. I went to my first Billiken B-Ball game in 1960, and have been following the program ever since.
Where can I get the SLU t-shirt?

They gave away miniature Billiken basketballs for years at the old Kiel Auditorium. They were the same size as they are now. I still have a couple of them lying around somewhere.
