I'm not sure I Agee with you offense statement. Maybe the half court O might run better but Crews let's them push the break more thanRick. We are scoring a lot of our points off of turnovers turned into driving lay ups. Quite often Rick had them pull it out.Obviously there is no way to measure this as Rick is no longer here. However, I think the oh-fense would run more efficiently with Rick. Just look at kenpom.com offense efficiency since Rick left. It is easy to see the oh-fense has been less efficient. Crews has done an unbelievable job but I am worried what will happen when the players Rick had a
large influence on leave the program.

Let me respond to several of these post. Ricky Frazier flunked out of school. Rumor said he had 3 credits after 1 year. Rich went to Missouri to get college experience. Not to many college coaches got hired out of highschool. We were a serious suitor for Mark Dressler. Ekker got punched by Wallace Robinson a JC transfer. Our NCAA suspension was bogus. Very minor infraction dealing with free throw shooting practice. We were turned in by an AD dept. employee who had a problem with Ekker.

I do think it's hard to sustain success with a pressing style. Mike Anderson (Nolan R's) 40 minutes of hell aren't nearly as tough to play today. Coaches adjust,players adjust.VCU, Shaka, and the Gimmick are all quickly losing their flare. Spike lee should consider a new bandwagon to jump on

Disagree on the announcers. I thought they were great,so must better than what we normally get. I think Dakish is the best color man in the game. He doesn't take himself too seriously.

I think the only shot Grandy should be allowed to take is a dunk.JM played some good D. GG provided energy and some boards, but some of those inside shots he tried were ill advised.

I think we have to realize the fact that we are not a great shooting team. I think AM is the only pure shooter on our team. We win because of defense. We are a great team defensive team. If we can hit a few shots we can play with anyone.The team goes through 3 hour practices at 7 in the morning during the school year. I'm not overly concerned. If we can't hit shots it's because we just simply can't shoot

I though our whole team was poor in the time and possession aspect. Hopefully that is a coachable thing. That is something I think Rick was a master at.

I agree. I thought he used his timeout very well,and put Evans back in at the right time.I have stated that I am not a basketball expert many times, so take this for what it is worth, but I thought Crews did a great job tonight on a night when his team (other than Jett) did not shoot well...at all.

I agree the calls were terrible but those refs were probably the highest rated ref's we've seen . At least one of them did last years final 4 .Yeah well if we don't have shameful refs he would've had 2 fouls in that game, maybe 3 having picked another one up in the extra 10 minutes he should've played. I don't want to just harp on the refs about barely eeking this one out, MM and JB's shooting had a lot to do with that, not to mention the combined FT% of the team.
But it wasn't DE's fault he was on the bench, a couple of those calls against him were way too ticky-tack for a game where nothing short of manslaughter was called for the first 4 minutes.

Two terrible calls against him.To be fair, I thought the refs took Dwight Evans out of the game tonight. Dwight (as the announcer called him) could not draw a foul, but he sure got called every time he blinked.
