  1. No, you guys have it all wrong... "The Natty Dome" or "The Nat" for short That'll get the greek population on campus to come out in droves!
  2. Hey there everybody, My name is Matt Johnsen and I am Blue Crew VP of Road Trips. I had a question that hopefully some of you might be able to answer. Does anybody know if there is an alumni group meeting up for the UWM game this Saturday. In years past when Blue Crew has traveled to DePaul and Memphis, we have met up with the local SLU alumni gatherings. They were always a good place to meet up with other Blue Crew memebers who made the trip and get some free food at the same time. I'm not familiar with who the SLU alumni rep is in Milwaukee. Can anybody help me out? I'm excited about this first road trip. We have 18 BC members making the trip up there... we started around 32, but then that has been altered since we have only 2-3 drivers. One of the disadvantages to having our group made up of 80% freshmen, none of them have cars. Anyway, hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving holiday. Thanks. -Matt Johnsen, VP of Road Trips
  3. Glad to see my efforts at least were appreciated! The rest of that beer was mighty tasty. I am gonna be sore tomororw As for the team's play, I was upset that we didn't beat these guys by more. One thing that I noticed is that we seemed to be having trouble breaking their press smoothly at different points in the game. It seems that we don't have a guard, besides Polk, with the speed and ball-handling skills to dribble out of press situations as we have had in the past with Reggie and Josh Fisher. KL may just need some more experience, which I am sure he'll get. I think that Obi just looks uncomfortable out there. I have no idea why he was touching the ball outside the paint, let alone around the perimiter. He's quite possibly the slowest player I've seen up and down the court in my four years at SLU... even slower than IV in the last couple years. Thankfully, he looks like he's in good shape this season. In my experience watching SLU basketball, we always seem to play to the level of our opponent. We can hang with or beat teams like Arizona, Louisville, Marquette (with Deiner) and then suck it up against teams like Oral Roberts or the EA All Stars. Although despite their play, they have shown some great moments of promise for this upcoming season. Nothing we can do except get up on our feet and cheer 'em on.
  4. If you guys are in need of numbers for the bus trip, try contacting the Blue Crew ([email protected]) because I know there are a bunch of guys on BC who would love to go to the game if logistics are figured out (myself being one of them).
  5. I'm a SLU student and Blue Crew memeber, and I'd imagine that our on campus "sports bar" Wackadoos will probably have appatizer specials that will take till the end of the game to get... oh well. Still pissed that the game isn't within reasonable driving distance, especially for Blue Crew. Its almost like they were thinking "lets see how we could possibly get 0 SLU students to attend." Oh well... Go Bills!
