Taj79
....here in the Mid-Atlantic ..... Geedubya @ VCU at high noon. Davidson @ Duquesne at 12:30. Your #24-ranked Dayton Flyers @ Mason at 6:00 along with Umass @ Richmond same time Closing with Rhodey @ La Salle at 8:00. Only one not on TV is St. Joe's at Fordham. The delights of A10 basketball for all to see. Then, the grand-daddy of them all tomorrow ---- the battle of Our Ladies of Perpetual Sorrows in Olean. Who needs a Super Bowl? Can't wait. Taj79
Great one in Richmond as Geedubya takes VCU out of the unbeaten ranks in conference play 72 to 69 behind Garino's career-high 29. Down two, VCU missed a three and a tap before Geedubya got rebound and made 1 with .6 seconds to go. Davidson should score 100 at Duquesne today. Up 86 to 69 with 4 to play. Taj79
With the exception of GeeDubya's win in Richmond, the status remained quo across the A10 yesterday. Davidson easily handled Duquesne; St. Joe's trashed Fordham at Rose Hill; Dayton obliterated Mason in Fairfax by 30; Richmond held the home serve against Umass; and Rhode Island had no problem with La Salle in the Gola Mausoleum. Boy is La Salle bad. Craig Esherick, former Georgetown coach, had the color for the Mason/Dayton game. He says five A10 teams to the Dance ---- VCU, Dayton, St. Joe's, Geedubya and one of either the Bonnies or Davidson. I can see the top three in that list but would project only one of those last three with the nod right now going to Geedubya for wins over Virginia and now VCU. The odd man out there are the Bonnies, who look really good the last few times I've seen them. They should win by 20 today.
