billikenmetz Posted March 13, 2006 Share Posted March 13, 2006 Postseason NIT NIT Selections to be Announced on ESPNU Network will carry the selections live March 9, 2006 Indianapolis, IN - The 2006 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) will release its bracket live simultaneously on ESPNU, ESPNNews, www.nit.org and www.ncaasports.com at approximately 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2006. The bracket is attached. The NIT, which for the first time will be selected by an at-large committee, will be comprised of a 40-team field from across the country. The selection principles and procedures can be found here. This year also marks the first time in the 69-year history of the NIT that the bracket release will be televised live.
