DAYTON, Ohio -- Dayton guard Rob Lowery will miss the rest of the season following surgery to repair a torn tendon in his right knee.

Lowery was injured in the first half of the Flyers' 71-58 victory over No. 14 Xavier on Wednesday night. Surgery was performed Thursday by the team's orthopedic consultants, Dr. Tim Quinn and Dr. James Klosterman.

Typical rehab time for surgery of this type is 5-6 months.

Lowery was the Flyers' third-leading scorer, averaging 7.5 points in 18 minutes a game.
