With Gordon being a potential 1 and done, if/when we get new scholarships for next year, would we rather get another recruit from 2018 or more transfers to sit our for next year, to return for 2018
-
Not a power scorer but a beast on rebounds, would compliment Goodwin very well

When does Bishop come back? I want to run the table!

Similar to Gordon
True, and I also like how Gordon is on the Team USA program, an easy Mcdonalds all american I believe, but he is from SC and from Duke's recruiting it seems they might already have him unless they keep embarrassing themselves this season with the talent they have
-
Did Nuefield and Gillman play today? No stats put up. Could be a sign of pushing them off
-
espn 5* recruited by UNC Duke Louisville Kansas Arizona Baylor UCLA Virginia etc... If Ford gets this guy we would have to extend his contract 20 years
-
Do players talk to the team before they commit to be sure an offer is still on? I would assume so, just wondering if some of our lower calibur recruits would try to jump on right away while they can

Give these freshmen some Protein powder and a gym in the off season

I think the only way Gillmann leaves is if he graduates this spring or summer, or if Ford doesn't give him a choice. My understanding is he's at SLU for the education, so I doubt he'd leave voluntarily to go finish up his degree elsewhere.
He could finish as a walk on if thats a possibility

while I think JJ and Zeke have some upside. If next year it looks like they can't compete, then they can leave as sophomores.
They are just Freshmen who showed tremendous potential in their last year of HS. They aren't the type of freshmen who can turn a program around, but that can surely develop and contribute, They could be great bench players

current age?
Ok, so he is listed as 5'3 on VC, other recent articles had him at 5'5 but his high school roster lists him at 5'8

Is he still a frosh? I was 4'10 going into basketball tryouts my freshman year...I was 5'11 by graduation. If the kid can play I'd take a look at him.
5'5 now

Gordon may have another idea? Maybe not related at all?
Oh Chase Adams is this freaky good PG with a catch. He is 5'3

Time to go "full court press" on Torrence Watson. If they can get him on board, 2018 would probably be the deepest Billiken team ever.
Absolutly, but with the transfers wouldn't 2017 be the deepest year 4 ESPN 4* recruits

At this point, I think we could best use another ball handler. A PG type who can shoot. Would Watson fit that description or is he more of a pure scorer? Even if JG plays the point as some of you think he was promised, we need another good player with PG skills. I am assuming that Bishop will transfer out at the end of this year, if not, he could serve that back up to JG role the next two years
Graves?

Does anyone have a reliable place to look up high school players statistics? Can't find Thatch's and his past few games have been 30 +

I love seeing this...
When does he start playing for Webster Groves? Also in regards to the not having a center thing, in 2018 as of now we will have 6'8 Gordon, 6'7 French, 6'8 Foreman, 6'9 Welmer, 6'7 Jalen. I am almost positive Nuefield and Gillman will be gone. I would want another SG or SF personally.

I think so. Thatch, watson, and a big for 2018.
Another big for 2017
Do we really need another big, I would prefer no Centers for Fords play style
-
This would put us at our limit for 2018, with having so many potential recruits that year, im guessing there might be a purge on our roster
-
so this guy has been scoring almost 40 points his past few games, should we anticipate he will be much higher ranked next year? Seems to be highly underrated

Anyway, Goodwin won't hit the 5-star rating level. He's a solid 4-star. That's fine.
Gordon?
13 minutes ago, Pistol said:I don't get too hung up on the scholarship availability. Ford will make room when he needs to. As far as I'm concerned, we have a roster full of expendable players right now. Active players, anyway.
So in your opinion would you expect to see Majerus like purges on the roster that some have talked about?

It takes a year for their scholarship count to catch up when transfers are involved. Regular players slide to the left each season, but the transfers will stay in that junior column. So the scholarship count beyond the upcoming season can frequently (usually) be off from what it'll actually be.
So we can't complain with having Gordon as a potential 5* espn recruit, but can we complain that 2018 won't open up as many scholarships as we may want? Seems like that would be Ford's year for recruiting, I guess we have to be more selective now? Also word is Smith will not go to SLU since he does not want to play with Goodwin
-
Florida St. is currently at -3 scholarships, I guess they are expecting players to go pro, for our situation would we expect players to transfer then? Possible players to go, Nuefield, Zeke, Gillman, and maybe Bishop for SLU? It wouldn't surprise me if Ford picks up more high quality transfers either instead of recruits. It also says we have 4 open spots for 2018 on VC, does that not count the 3 transfers we have?
-
Is there a post-senior year ranking for recruits after their senior season, so maybe players that were really good junior year, but dropped significantly senior year have a ranking change so programs can better assess their new players? And what about for players like Smith that no one knew about but now everyone wants, would they get re ranked?

Well I will be looking forward to Gordon outperforming Ramey this next part of the season
