[Coach on the Big 550, Practice starts Sept 29]

Listening to the interview, I found myself hoping that Coach's enthusiasm is matched by his ability to actually coach. With our overall talent and heightened expectations, Ford will be under intense scrutiny. This is the question of his career on display this season; recruiter or strategist. Hopefully he and the staff are up to the challenge.

Due to the university's pattern of mishandling previous incidents, it is impossible to ignore the racial component that may exist here. We do not want to be the program where the warning that we issue to our own incoming players is the same warning used to discourage potential African-American recruits; Be very careful (maybe avoid) when considering interracial sexual activity. Once is an anomaly, twice creates a stigma.

 

[Recruiting - 2017]

With the ending of this recruiting class having been clearly signaled, I feel somewhat concerned about the seemingly philosophical belief that a true point guard is not needed on this roster.We have a nice stable of hybrids with upside,but no one besides Bishop who looks to distribute.Aaron will fill his role admirably,but he is not the answer. Drivers,slashers and shooters tend to be at their best when not burdened with the extra responsibility of running the offense.
