First time poster, long time reader in the DC area who is a fan of and has family ties to SLU. I toohope May will pursue Brad Underwood. He's proven himself as much as anyone can at the low major level with a three year 88-13 record (53-1 in conference) and three consecutive NCAA appearances, with at least two wins (we'll know very soon whether he'll have a third and a sweet 16 appearance). I know he doesn't have ties to the area but his record, for me, is impossible to ignore. His teams, as others have said, are fun to watch. And when you stack up SLU to the other open jobs (TCU, Rutgers, Oklahoma State and Stanford), SLU is a top four job in its conference, for reasons including the arena and the recruiting base. TCU isn't anywhere close to to a top half job in the Big 12. Oklahoma State is at best the fourth best job in that league. Rutgers is also open but that might be the worst job in the Big 10. Stanford isn't as good a job as Arizona or UCLA, and I'm not sure how their facilities compare to USC, Washington, Oregon, and Cal. There's a real case to be made that SLU is the best job available for him. And I hope (and think) he'd stay at SLU until a top 3-5 job came open in a power 5 league. I'm fine with the job being a stepping stone for guys like him.
