  1. Anyone else think MR's point guard skill set may have been hurt by having okafor on his high school team? Seems like he tries to force it inside too often and usually resulting in turnovers because our guys aren't able to catch every single ball inside like his old post mate. Still think if he stays dedicated to the process he could make the rotation with good defense. He seems like an able ball handler in terms of bringing the ball up the court (something that makes me nervous more often than it should), just needs work in the halfcourt offense

  2. Second tweet from Durando says that Crews thinks the team is more consistant with more players playing. Sounds like none of the new guys have shown to be light years ahead of each other. I'm fine with him going 13 deep for the first few games as he works his rotation out

  3. Before anyone get's too hyped about mcbroom contributing quality minutes/points lets remember that he tore it up in the beginning of non-conference last year and then disappeared down the stretch. He's shown that he can hit the open 3's but I just worry that any self respecting defense will close on him and his percentage will plummet. That being said I have no idea who else will provide any quality minutes at the point. Roby looked good in spurts but still has a lot to learn, Bartley looked lost, I thought Miles looked pretty good taking the ball up but then in the half court he was a little over excited with the ball and made some questionable passes inside. I really worry if Mcbroom isn't able to provide consistent scoring teams are gonna learn to just double up on Ash and we'll be relying on a lot of unproven guys. Still have a lot of hope for the freshmen and sophmores in the future but I think today definitely demonstrated how much better all the seniors last year made guys like lancona and crawford look.

  4. I will take anything we can get from a press perspective, but I never got the feeling that Timmermann liked (or likes) covering the Bills. His reports are about as exciting as the back of a shampoo bottle. Even when interviewed about the team, he seems aloof and kind of like he drew the short straw over at the PD sports department.

If you've ever met the guy you'd know that's not true. I agree that we could definitely use some more coverage, especially on the recruiting trail but he certainly enjoys covering the team and I think he does a great job for the most part. I think the biggest shame is that we do not have someone at the PD set aside specifically for SLU. TT seems to cover what he can but he also does a ton of coverage for the cards and for soccer
