Santa Clara was a much better team than SEMO....so NO
I remember being somewhere in the neighborhood of a 20 pt favorite vs Santa Clara

Seeing the Wiz post again makes me feel all warm inside.
That's gross

Fontbonne actually brought a few fans besides the ones sitting in the parents section, and they had a good time based on their cheers whenever Fontbonne actually scored. That's why I prefer to keep exhibitions local if we're going to continue the 1 exhibition and 1 scrimmage. We can support local schools with the fee I'm sure we paid them (although probably tiny), and them and their fans can experience the Jewel that is the Fetz
Agreed. However why not play washu here? Washu is I believe a top 5 d3 school that you might actually have a few takeaways from playing them. I'm sure this is a non issue but it surely would draw a bigger crowd from the natural rivalry.

2 biggest takeaways:
Grandy is gonna go ham this year. More than a 5 minute energy guy. A legit starter.
I was not impressed by McBroom at all. The freshmen guard on Fontbonne he was guarding was better than him most of the evening.

After thinking, and rethinking about this game, I think it was good to let the boys get out there and run.
I know its an NAIA school, and I am in no way assuming we breeze through even SEMO like we did tonight, but I think there are worse things in the world that letting the lions get out of the cage against slow prey before the season starts.
Fontbonne is D3, not NAIA

Steve better upgrade the board cause we just guaranteed back-to-back-to-back-to-back national titties

Jolly!! and boom goes the dynamite!
-
How will Brett Jolly react?
Jolly don't give a f uck

Thank God rule wasn't in place last year; Cody would have fouled out in less than 10 minutes; hopefully other rule changes won't have negative effect on our defense, especially with Jordair
Based on the link and background you provided on the new rule I completely agree.

Surprised they left Buffalo Wild Wings off their list...

Jolly! Jolly! Jolly! Jolly! Jolly! Jolly! Jolly!

Gentlemen - now we feast on championships. The prodigal son will return. Come to papa Jolly!!

@gmuhoops: 2014 SF Therence Mayimba will be attending Mason Madness, PG Jalyn Patterson will be visiting next weekend http://t.co/SgSiqvOwGv
Looks like we got an early season rivalry with GMU going. What a bunch of tools

Moeller was a backup to Berry at Desmet two years ago. We looked at him. He walked on at Mizzou, left there for a JUCO and now is at FLGC. Late bloomer but he wouldn't play on SLU's team. Probably not as good as Husak.
Is anyone as good as Husak?!
(besides Jolly obviously)

Just saw this on the twitters. Soccer related, so I'll put it in this thread. Don't know anything about Geerling.
Senior captain David Geerling has committed to play ball next year at St. Louis University. Hard work pays off #Billikens
Can he dunk?

What are the chances that the remaining 3 spots will already be filled by the time he visits Oct. 15?
What are the chances that Andrew Wiggins transfers to SLU?

This is interesting, the Russians have a number of different words for snow, many more than we have. Eskimos (Inuit) have even more ways to define snow, a lot more than the Russians do. It appears that cultures develop many defining words for those issues that confront and challenge them the most. In America, as dlarry stated, we have many words for stupidity. Well done Dlarry you have singled out one of the major concerns affecting our culture!
Fu ck Russia!

Billy Donovan is at CCP watching FBJT today.

Pistol, do you have a number that I can call to reach Ben Wex? I want to subscribe to Scout but I don't want to use my card on the internet.
You could always mail him a bearer bond via the pony express.

Uh oh... this is one case where initials may not be a good thing. I hope this doesn't lead to confusion with our notorious poster - MB73. Bringing in another MB kinda sounds like a pinko commie foo foo conspiracy.
I think the only solution here is to ban MB73 from posting for the next 4 years...

No need to save a spot if you can get top talent now. McCaw, Martin/Mayimba, Glass gives us a great recruiting class with good balance. Get em all!

Updated the thread title for some clarity.
What a buzzkill

I'll admit I was enamored with his size as a point. Bash me if you must, but it wil be a long time before I lose the vision of the likes of Mark Tyndale, Dionte Christmas, Khalif Wyatt and even Semaj Christon doing what they did to us over the years. With Roby and Bartley both coming in at 6'4" I like the size equation here as an immediate starter.
I am surprised he is in the fold. I figured for sure, given his mom and dad's connections, he was Creighton bound. Even if we did get him, I didn't expect to see anything until after the Creighton visit was done and completed. We get another one or two and national LOI day will actually be pertinent for us this November. If we could land Glass and Martin, that would be my "A" wish list.
Wow. Early commits in the fall signing period. This seems like rare air.
We are currently recruiting Glass very hard.

With seeing pics it's hard to tell if it's already too late for Rogaine. If so I suggest Hans Weimann.
