RIP Steve. Thoughts and prayers out to the McElvene and Flyer families

Any news from attendees of the BGC yesterday?
-
Yeah, it's weird how few details I can find on that kid.
By the way, we offered another 2017 player - Justyn Mutts, a 6-7, 215 lb. forward from St. Augustine Prep in New Jersey.
That sounds really bad.
If our predator tracking law enforcement is worth a damn, you are certainly on their watch list for how many high schoolers you dig through on the google machine

Nice piece. I will never understand why, in this day and age, everyone isn't an organ donor. I can't see any real drawbacks - if you're dead you won't be using any of them anyways.
Reincarnation, bro. It would suck to come back without a friggin heart.

I have no issues plugging my own articles here. Interested to know what the rest of you think:
Haha this is almost comical.
1) If you are going to pretend to be a real journalist then write like one.
2) Real journalists are 100% sure of their sources and don't have to write they are 99% sure.
3) I remember Tatum being at several games but not "almost every game"
4) What frat parties did he go to? This seems highly stupid of him and unlikely.
Crews was obviously not a great coach but making up stories about him is pretty low. Better luck with your next tale.

I didn't think we would get Drew, but I thought we would have a legit shot at Stallings.
I am definitely happier with Ford than Stallings. Ford is an energy boost this program needs. Not sure Stallings would have delivered that.

Milik's SLU legacy is finishing 9th in Freshman Rebounds and tieing Lisch for Freshman Points.
I will remember him more for creating his own play: the Milik coast-to-coast which always ended with a blocked shot or dribble of his foot turnover out of bounds. It was always a tremendous momentum killer

Mike Anderson has a history of restricting his players from transferring to any school in MO. Rotnei Clarke is the prime example. He wanted to transfer to SLU, but Anderson made his release conditional on him not transferring to any school in MO.
A history of or a one time example?

To the people that think Ford is going to bring a much more uptempo offense to SLU..........
This past season Okie St played at a much slower pace than SLU.
wasnt their starting backcourt injured all season?

T-Rav if we are going for a local theme

I will resist ads. I, however, may need to do a fundraiser in the next year. I actually have not calculated how much in the red I am, but I am certainly in the red.
Maybe a suggested donation of $.10 per post will limit some of the littering of the board over recent years that has driven so many away...

Here is what I have been able to piece together from my sources.
It looks like SLU just ran out of time. The key was the Stallings hire by Pitt. Drew and Stallings were both options. but once Stallings was officially gone they brought in Ford for a 2nd interview. Another win by Valpo last night meant 2 more days of waiting. With Ford still interviewing elsewhere, and the potential of the other candidates disappearing quickly and Drew still unable to commit, SLU felt it couldn't wait anymore.
Did it turn out as I thoght it would....No....Did it turn out as the insiders thought (no, I am not an insder)...No...Did it turn out the way those who were in charge and running the process
thought ....No....It is as I said in previous posts...there is no done deal until it is announced.
Imagine the 30 second clock as SLU brings the ball up the floor. After a few passes , they are still beyond the arc and there is less than 10 seconds less. They have a wide open shot from the 3 but instead fire a pass to a player who is 2 feet from the basket....2 second left ...they take the shot ... was it the right shot?....Did SLU make the basket.??....You will have to wait till next year and beyond to see if the basket (the choosing of Ford) was good....tick ...tick...tick
Third try, Wiz...where else was Ford interviewing???

Bernie this morning: "SLU fans are upset that the administration didnt go to Oklahoma City and get Billy Donovan". Yeah Bernie, thats exactly what we are saying.
Bernie is a great writer but terrible on the radio and gets personal. No need to waste your time listening to his radio show.

Where else was Ford interviewing? I havent seen anything and feel like he is not the hottest of commodities

The target coach has made a counter offer. He (and I can mostly definitely confirm it is a male coach) is demanding strippers and blow.
So Chaifetz really did put up the cash to go after Pitino.
Pitino would have demanded prostitutes. Strippers are so 2010

All i know is Jolly better effing stay if we want a shot next year.

Jolly jokes awhile back are no longer funny. Kid is truth
Y'all shoulda listened to me from the start.
Get ready for back-to-back-to-back-to-back national titties with this playa

Vegas or New Orleans.
Realistically, DC or Atlantic City. AC was always a blast and dirty

For what it's worth it was good to see Jayson Tatum behind the Billikens bench yesterday. It was a hell of a game for him to be at and experience that crazy atmosphere at the Fetz. Although, he didn't seem that into the game, but it was good to see SLU is not giving up on recruiting him. He has alot of big schools coming after him, but its good to see SLU has a fighting chance if we can continue to succeed over the next two years. GO BILLS! #TeamTogether #VCUWHO #Top10Team
Wiggins looked like he was miserable when visiting KU last year...
-
He will only have a good game once he trims that awful mop on his head...
-
Richmond had a top 50 defense. Is an A+ team exponentially better than a B+ team?
Certainly there is a difference in talent level but we've already seen the defense, which is half the battle. I'd give the Bills a shot. No team in the country can blow us out on a regular basis, I don't think any team could beat us by 30 or 40.
Absolutely there is an exponential difference between Richmond and Syracuse.

this is hard to watch...so sluggish and sloppy and no rhythm

Anyone going to a road game this year should definitely sign up for the SLU pregame events. Meg and Annelise do a phenomenal job putting on these events and it's always fun to meet new SLU fans before the games. The page with the links to sign up for all the events is below. Looking forward to seeing a bunch of you at road games this year!
