  1. if you want our endorsement like we give 05, please present your blue crew resume. i.e. 05 has already reached legendary status as a student fan with his gametime approach and presense. enlighten us to your whereabouts, appearance, and activities at billiken games. thanks in advance.

Well this season, you will see me in a blue r33d jersey, either in the same row or one behind/in front of 05. 05 will attest to my intensity, passion, sometimes anger, and overall loudness at the games.

Not really looking for an endorsement, just tickets to the game haha :)

  2. you dont know about how duke home basketball games work do you? hell, most duke boosters dont even get into the duke games. it's students first and then if any room the few big hitter boosters.

that is why they have the coach k tent city all winter long. students living in tents in line to get the few basketball tickets.

    Duke games sellout?

Kidding, obviously. I knew tickets were hard to come by, but someone on these boards has to have some sort of magic... I mean, we're billikens!!!

  3. Is anyone seriously considering going to the game Dec 11th? I would love to, and a co-worker here in slu admissions would love to also... We've tried every connection we could think of (Athletics, our Dean of admission, old hs friends who went to Duke), and we have not had any luck. The only tickets I have even come across as available are $250 a piece. Anyone had any luck??

  4. Does Laclede's still have the same happy hour special? They had 2-for-1 appetizers and $2 mini pitchers of Boulevard Wheat. I think it was also discounted pints of something else, but that never mattered.

    $2 pitchers of boulevard????? <leaves work>

  5. My favorite game by far was the Xavier game at the Cintas Center in 09. Even though we got blown out, the 5 of us sat right behind the Billiken bench. Not only were we able to listen to all of Rick's comments throughout the game, the 5 of us we able to piss off the whole Xavier student sections. Just another reason why the Billikens fans are becoming the best in the A10: that kind of thing would never happen at the Chaifetz. Looking forward to next season and hopefully I can watch all the games online or on TV from back home.

I was there too, right behind the bench as well. I agree how we were able to piss off the whole XU student section.... My favorite was "UGLY! UGLY! UGLY!" and having that one girl get so terribly offended. Awesome.

  6. SLU's admissions department has to get some Maori students enrolled quickly, and '05 will enlist them in the Blue Crew immediately thereafter.

On it also. I have part of the local Saint Louis territory, but I don't see why I can't expand my territory.

    dramatically.

  7. +1. Glad you pointed that out; I had to edit this post to remove that tidbit. The national soccer team is the All Whites if anyone's keeping track. Like Australia, which adopted green and yellow as national colors, New Zealand adopted black and white as a way of separating itself from the colors of the Union Jack.

Big fan of the Haka, too. It's awesome seeing the All Blacks do it before a match; it's no wonder they're one of the best national rugby teams every year. I actually got to try it out on a trip to New Zealand in October. I'm sure I embarrassed myself, but it was fun.

I'm also taking full credit for Loe's commitment. My 24 hours in Auckland probably had a lot to do with it.

I hope he handles the tradition to St. Louis well. He's leaving the most beautiful place on earth. 10 days was not nearly enough; I could move there.

Also, the students are going to have to get a big New Zealand flag to go along with the Australian one. It's pretty similar:

    great job

  8. Fellow SLU students/student section inhabitants,

Next season, if you are at the games to watch and not participate in cheering, gtfo out the student section, especially the first 3 rows. I yelled and screamed at so many clueless looking students who were not cheering at all. So frustrating, especially in a game like tonight's. The blue crew should have been 3x as loud easily.

If you are not going to participate, please, at least sit up high so that I don't lose my voice cursing you and your mother. thanks.
