I dont know why everyone thinks that Creighton would be willing to leave the Valley for this poor geographical fit. Yes, it would be great cause they are a great program, make our travel easier and play in a bigger conference but they are 400 miles from us and that makes it a long shot, very long shot. You think we ***** about travel, what would that be like? Their fanbase travels real well and I just think you have to look at it more logically than anything and think them joining would be a real long shot, even if some national writers mention it I dont think this is something that is a possibility

I think anyone they hire would be better then Ross but I think they are trying to make a splash with hiring a big name as opposed to the best coach. Claggett will be better then Tatum but I don't think either of them are the best hires. If Tatum was hired I know that a lot of alumni would not be happy with him representing SLUH because of his perceived intelligence, or lack there of. No matter if his son starred there or not. Hope Claggett can turn it around

I heard we were trying to open up our home schedule with Creighton

The thought that crosses my mind is if this guy is great and a NBA draft pick why did he not just declare for the NBA draft - why go to all the trouble of transferring? Also, if he was so good then why did he lose playing time last year. My point is maybe the guy has topped out - maybe not but just saying.
He just some of that playing time to Drummond, a projected lottery pick, and there was also something where Calhoun and him got into it or disagreed about. The draft projections had him listed as a late round pick and at that position it is obvious that you should stay in school since those contracts are not gauranteed and you will most likely not make a team even if drafted. It would have been a bad decision, a la Willie Reed. Great college players are not always NBA players, I guess we will see about Oriakhi when next season starts but it is obviously a good get for Mizzou, NBA talent or not

Schools like SMU are so fing ridiculous. They have a crap program but go after big name coaches that make little sense. Each school then has to pony up extra dollars to keep their coaches while SMU will eventually settle for somebody more realistic. In the meantime 3-4 coaches will get raises out of the process.
You have to shoot for the stars. Were we a similar program when we hired Majerus? That was a substantial salary increase from our other coaches, right? Didn't we contact Rick PItino or someone like him before we hired him? Or I could be dreaming that
-
call the good Dr.
I'm not sure about how much the program has actuall brought in but a salary increase would be related to donors, mainly the Dr and a few others
-
This was obvious once Majerus stated that he was going to sign another kid for next year's team. I did see him at Ari's breakfast buffet on Hampton once and when he bypassed the bacon I knew he didn't fit

SLU – 12
I cant see us being that high even though we only lose Conklin and even though he tossed up garbage someone else, i.e. Grandy glaze, needs to get in that role

Not much use referencing Bleacher Report. Articles there are just written by non-professional fans. It isn't legit journalism. I could write an article there making up any ranking I wanted today.
On another note, I don't think Hughes had a disappointing NBA career. Maybe he wasn't a perennial All-Star, but he led the league in steals one year and averaged 14 PPG for his career. He deserved to be the 3rd overall pick in the draft that year. He has nothing to be ashamed about regarding what he has accomplished in basketball. My whole point was that I think Beal is as, if not more, talented than Hughes was as a freshman. That's all.
The people of Cleveland and Chicago who follow the NBA more then you do would say that Larry Hughes had a disappointing career. He had a few good yeards with the Wizards but then never lived up to expectations after that. It can be argued that if he did live up to expectations in Cleveland they would have won a championship and LeBron would still be a Cavalier.
He made a lot of money and was a good player but I dont think he had the work ethic to reach his highest ability. What do you base him being the 3rd overall pick on? Dirk Nowitzki and Paul Pierce were drafted after him and other good players were drafted ahead of him

Mizzou should be the headline, they just made history in a bad way. Great win by SLU, everyone should look forward to Sunday instead of worrying about what the headline in the paper is. Have fun and enjoy this run and quit being stupid ######

At hospital as a precaution. Took wrong meds.
He took too many, thought they were Mike and Ikes

Butler C+ team similar to Charlotte
G Mason B- team similar to Richmond\
Clev St B team similar to UMass.
Two questions.........
Do you want to add another Charlotte, Richmond and UMass to the A-10? And if you do add another Charlotte, Richmond and UMass,....are you making the A-10 a better conference?
This is just talking about this year. Butler is down because they lost two players who left early for the draft. There is little doubt that the program will be back up shortly. Butler is definitely a better program than Charlotte. You cannot use one year's numbers when making your comparsion. They have back to back final appearances and that is greater than whatever is happening this year.

What would have changed with Nova blocking Temple from the joining the league? I still think that is the reason Temple is not only not there now but will not be in the future
My bad didnt read the other thread first

This video was bad but was expectedly so and the frat guys love this publicity. I think the video of SLU basketball players dancing in the hotel room is worse than this video but I couldnt find that one
-
That does not mean his attitude had to change. He may not have been able to be as successful as he was in high school, but D1 ball does not necessarily make a player change his or her agressiveness. I know there is a huge difference between high school and D1 basketball.
I agree, most good high school players dont come to college and become big *******. Sometimes they do not develop into the players they were thought to be but if their game or mindset changes it usually helps the team.

This kid is not good, believe the walk ons

I will be there, rooting for both because I can.
I'm also rooting for the big ***-taed, crazy waitress with the upper chest tat that knows how to bounce on the pogo stick to be my waitress

Kyle Cassity isn't gun shy, he is a big wussy. He will shoot the ball if he is wide open, hustle and play alright defense but I have never seen someone so fricking scared to drive to the basket and if he is near the basket to shoot. I used to accept him as a player who so I thought contributed at times and thought he was the best player early last year. Now he is terrible on offense and cannot be on the floor if we have the lead, its like being on the penalty kill. Him and his beard thing needs to sit on the bench

7-7. Not a nice win. GTech's record will likely end up being absolutely terrible.
Anytime Fordham beats a big conference team it is a very big win for them. If you want to break down our 'big' wins you have Villanova who is 7-7, Oklahoma who just lost by 40 and only good win is Arkansas and 8-5 Washington who hasn't beat anyone very good. If our wins are nice wins for SLU then I consider Fordham beating G Tech a nice win

Does anyone recall the Ricky Clemons case? Did not this "student"/athlete, who grew up poverish, drive a new SUV?
Kalen Grimes was given an SUV by Quin Snyder. Asst Tony Harvey was actually the car guy
-
Why even ask this question? It is going to lead to people saying Mizzou is good and then the same people dogging them are going to say go to your Mizzou message board. Dont bring them up if you dont want to hear about them, good or bad.

AGREED. PB Who Are You? Fan of LMU and all announcers that suck?
I am a fan that realizes that we lost amd ###### like that happens. We were tired, they hit shots, they beat us off the dribble at will and we didnt rebound.
Get mad at the refs, who werent good, and some college announcer all you want but his line about breaking the glass and getting the fire extinguisher was classic and we are still a good just no longer in the top 25
-
Who are you? He was clearly terrible.
I listened to him and didnt like him but would like to see him kick your ass Mr Genius
