...I'm talking hair-splitting precision here and these zebras are almost always right....I hope this clears the offside situation up for you, Rich. As long as you have maintained one skate in contact with the blue line for all those 50+ years of play when the puck crossed the inside/leading edge you were onside....
I agree the Blues are the better team. Now they just need to show me that they are a lot better and stomp some madhouse A55! Somebody find me a beer! Is 20+ hours too early to start? I'm thinkin' a Morgan Street Black Bear sounds great right now.

Nope. "A player is off-side when both skates are completely over the leading edge of the blue line involved in the play."
You concede that it's on the line. Unless you're somehow claiming that the side of the line towards his own goal is the leading edge, that was an improper call.
And in any event, overturning requires irrefutable visual evidence. If they saw that photo above or anything close to it, the evidence was at best ambiguous and the on-ice call should have stood.
I'm going to stand corrected upon still further review. According to a strict reading of Rule 83 posted above, the player was neither off-side, or on-side, but rather in the twilight zone, for which the penalty is an eternity in limbo or some approximation thereof.
I only read the on-side definition previously. So, if he's not off-side you can't call the penalty. But if he's not onside he therefore must be off-side. There's not enough redundancy built into this rule. But with this now established precedent....

I believe rule 69 is the one to refer to. (http://www.nhl.com/nhl/en/v3/ext/rules/2015-2016-Interactive-rulebook.pdf) The attacking player's contact with the goalie occurred on a rebound (subsection 7), thus no interference. Furthermore, his position in the crease did not interfere with the goalies vision or ability to defend his own goal. It was a lucky goal. The attacker swung at the rebound off of the goaltenders chest area and hit the puck with his upper stick and the goaltenders left leg with the blade (the only contact initiated by the attacker), sending the puck over to the left side of the goal, where he poked it in just beyond Elliot's left skate. Good call. Game over.
I know people are passionate but rules are rules, stupid or otherwise. Who wants to win on bad/incorrect/wrong calls?
I love coach's challenges and replay rules by the way. Good stuff.

If we could ever just get a legit power forward who could drive and dunk, a Barnes or Bishop would either one be plenty serviceable as point. I'll take my PF and Jordair Jett on point with any other 3 knuckleheads versus anybody. We might not when 'em all, but that would be about as good as it gets. Oh yeah, I want a heady, non athletic "pure" 3 ball shooter for the kickouts too. Preferably one that can shoot it from the coach's box line if need be. He can be a gym rat and/or scrappy also, doesn't matter to me, so long as he drains the orange globe.
But yeah, JT was a longshot at best from where I stand. It's maybe a slight increase in risk for him, but he can possibly increase his stock some more by playing in the national spotlight for his college career. We need a shot at one of these one and doners sometime to put us over the top, not 3 years late again. So we need some balanced classes with some degree of sustained success.
Vote for Pedro! Blame Blair! Or is the other way around? Who cares?!

Althoff won the 3A championship, which included in the "Final 4," perennial powerhouses Peoria Manual (Howard Nathan {of Hoop Dreams fame}, Frank Williams) and Westchester St. Joe's (Isiah Thomas, William Gates {of Hoop Dreams fame, also}, et al).
4A are the largest schools in Illinois HS hoops. That's where Iguodala hailed from (Springfield Lanphier). The championships are played on the home floor of Hersey Hawkins' (76ers) alma mater, Bradley (Peoria Convention Center's Carver Arena). I saw my first concert there, Bon Jovi w/ Cinderella. We were late for Cinderella though somehow.

Fat angels die sooner, but if the pin they are squeezing onto is quality they can last a bit longer than if not. That's the jist of it I think.
Oh, and angels named Jim have a precarious position on pins around here methinks.

Tonight the Bills have let me down big time. On the first day Ticketmaster had tickets for sale, I purchased 4 tickets (3 on purpose, the 4th (Harris Stowe) on accident). These tickets were all for section 111 row B seat 1. This is not the first time I had bought this ticket. Previously, I had always wondered why when I approached my seat, there was no row B only row C seat 1, but never before had anyone been seated in that seat. Well, tonight, my time was up and an elderly gentleman seated there informed that that was, in fact, his seat, and had been for years. Sec. 111 Row C Seat 1. And he had the ticket to prove it. All I could do was pat him on the back and say sorry and ask the usher for help. The usher directed me to the box office, The box office tried to give me a ticket for the 10th or so row. The box office imfomed me to wait for "Joe." "Joe" offered me a free hot dog and expressed his desire to keep me as a fan, but I explained to him what this ticket meant to me and asked for a full refund. He informed me that he would be in contact with me and that he would provide me with a full refund, which is all I can ask. Unfortunately, this is too much for me. I told him I just wanted to go home. In Jesus name, Amen.
