  1. He should be on the hot seat. Last year was pathetic after all of the recent success and I really have no reason for optimism at this point for next year. Will it take 3-4 seasons of sub .500 basketball for people to think we need a new coach? I have higher expectations than that.

We were 3-15 in conference with 2 OT wins. There better be improvement.

"But suddenly, a new contender has emerged..."https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Nduf8_iCTOs

So who is the real idiot these days?

  2. Crews - 3 years, .653 winning percentage, 66-35 overall SLU record

    Majerus - 5 years, .579 %, 95-69

    Spoon - 7 years, .575 %, 122-90

    Romar - 3 years, .537 %, 51-44

    Sodie - 5 years, .519%, 80-74

Eddie Hickey ain't coming back. Is Ron Coleman still alive? Let's get him back so he can improve on his 7 win, 0.259 win % season.

    This is a clown post.

  4. Mid-major to me is more than just the conference... I think it also applies to how much people care about their sports programs. Mid-major programs tend to not care that much about their sports and therefore don't make huge investments (like the overwhelming majority of SLU students) whereas at programs like Xavier when they were in the A-10 and Gonzaga this was never really the case so they weren't exactly mid-majors although in a mid-major conference.

Obviously success and how much people care are highly correlated.... But I remember a thread just the other day about our ranked program not being able to draw students to games

  5. You disparaged a national 20+ year successful icon with a clean record. Why?

You said he wins because he has great players and I said well then give him credit for being a good recruiter.

You used an childish argument, what, Haith can recruit, that does not make him a great coach. WTF?

You asked why he doesn't go to the Elite 8 every year... well as some posters point out he does not always have top talent and there are injuries and bad matchups, and hey teams play bad games, that is why they play the game... foul trouble, bad shooting night, it happens... anyone who knows about sports knows that... so that tells me more about you.

You lose all the arguments, I grow weary an bored and will not continue. Maybe you have an intelligent older brother or that can make some sort of argument that is somewhat valid. Call him.

No K is not 100% squeaky clean perfect but he is in the top percentile (look up what that means) of clean programs, the very top.

Why do you hate Duke? I know why...

Why do you hate Duke? I know why.

Dude, why do you care about Duke so much?

    Go bills

  6. You're out of your mind if you think the conference had no factor in the decision. Ask any college basketball fan if they would rather be playing Marquette, Villanova, and Georgetown or VCU, La Salle, and St. Joes? Get out of here if you don't think the pitch to play top flight programs with much better exposure isn't important.

  7. 2 things have really, really hurt us. 1) The Brad Soderberg hire, which set the program back 5+ years, and 2) the "Situation," which delayed the resurgence by a year. Biondi can take much of the blame for both events.

The timing of Majerus's passing was also unfortunate. He would have been in EVERYBODY'S ear this season promoting SLU to the Big East.

How is Biondi to blame for the situation?

  8. Honestly, I give no credence to anything Cowherd says. He is nothing but a blowhard that likes to 'stir the pot'. I don't think he has any real insight to anything he spouts off about.

He put up some good numbers on his NFL predictions this year.... might be luck, but the guy got em right
