Seems to me that the discussion regarding AB providing help as a lobbyist is misguided. Another possibility is that his role is to interact with St. Louis businesses. This could include many different types of support to the school district. Given AB's reputation in St. Louis, and that many of today's business leaders have a high regard for him as a person, as well as a basketball player, he might be a perfect hire for this type of position.
Given all of the issues with the school district, a $125,000 salary for a b-ball coach seems totally out of touch with what there priorities should be. However, if I'm right and AB's role is to represent the school district with the local community, he just might be the right man to solicit support.
