I didn't get there until halftime because of class, so I missed the senior stuff, but I heard that they didn't show AD's Iowa shot. I thought for sure that would be all over the place, as it should.

I think the tough part is that there were a lot of students there tonite and we couldn't pull it out.

I think the biggest fact is one of our year long problems....an inability to draw up a last play. Due to the questionable stoppage, we had 5 minutes to figure out what we wanted to do if they made free throws. Then we took a timeout to discuss it more.
All we can do is dribble down, and fire up a long range prayer with 2 seconds left? There was tons of time for a pass, or even a drive to the hoop.

Do you want only one A10 team in the tourney? That will look bad for all of us.

I think he is talking about them being a sleeping in the A10 tourney, not as a sleeper for next year.

You could call every team in this conference a possible sleeper.

One thing that must be done at the new arena, is allowing the students to actually get tickets at the arena, not at west pine a day before the game.
One killer factor now is saturday day games. If students go out friday night, and then decide that night that they want to go to the game tomorrow, there is no way they can get tickets to the game.

They may just be trying to get some retribution. My freshman year, 02 i guess, after we beat them here, we, mostlt blue crewers, were standing outside Savvis waiting for the student ubs back to SLU. The Dayton charter bus was sitting right there, picking up alumns and what not. We formed two lines around the door, and they had to walk right through us as we yelled at them and told them they are terrible.
That might be why some of the older fans were angry, heh.
Then again I thought they deserved it!

The CCIN website says that this one will be on TV, so hopefully it will be.

I would suggest keeping in touch with the SLU admins. I don't think that SLU has any players from the Ohio area, meaning that the players should have some free tickets locked up somewhere. Maybe you guys could use the extra tickets that are allotted to the players' families.

These are both great games. No one wants to lose.

GW is up 4 with about 9 minutes to play.

Filling three rows around the court is pretty unfeasible. At times, students have trouble filling the first three rows in the student section alone. Also, taking the front three row tickets away from the people who paid good money for them would hurt financially.

Just and FYI there is no free beer or food in the club level. So your really just getting the booth.

Cusamano was talking about Huggins in retrospect to SLU this morning. It was sort of interesting.
He is a dirtball, but you cannot argue with the success he had.
Frank was interviewing someone who was saying "Do we want a guy who gets us to the dance every year but degrades the university by his reputation?" Frank pretty much did not know how to respond because even though his rep is bad, it is hard to argue with success.

Because they are not SLU student buses. They are either going to Sybergs, or are from some other organization.

You know it is a great game when your leading point producer goes 1/1 for the game. Attemping his first shot with less than 3 minutes left to play.

If anyone who posted deep and thought provoking sentiments into why students do not come to games prior to tonight....Hopefully you can understand SLU basketball for the last 4 years now. What about tonight makes you want to come back?
It is rush week. There were 300 extra Frat happy fans tonight at the game. What makes these kids want to EVER come to another game? Casual fans do not appreciate a 50-48 win. And even less than that do they appreciate a loss in which the home team scores less than 50 and shoots less than 28 percent from the field.
The arguement ends here. Blah blah blah kids should come. Blah blah blah we need an arena. Casual fans do not care about solid defensive play. Soderberg needs to develop an offensive scheme before he dominates the minds of alumni who think students should go to games just because they are students. We were terrible tonight.
How many games is this over the last 4 years in which SLU has scored less than 25 points in the first half? I have been to all of these games, and just by random count I can say 7, which is way too high for any team in DIVISION 1 BASKETBALL.
PS: It took over 45 minutes for the majority of students to get back to campus due to the horrible bus situation. Sybergs had TWO, yes TWO, buses running elders back to wherever they came from. SLU had ONE bus to take 600+ students back to campus. BRILLIANT.
So who's going to the A-10 Tournament?
