  1. I agree with a lot of what you say. I think that Brad could be more aggresive in his recruiting etc... butt Skylar Suggs has yet to play a game in high school and you want to offer him. For Christ's sake wait just at least until he starts practices.

I have acutally seen Suggs play a dozen times and each time i was left wanting more. I hope Suggs comes to Slu but I wouldn't be that disappointed. V, I do think that we need powell though :)

  2. He is playing center on the JV team. So now, you wanna "promise" a 6-2 guard who is playing outa position on his highschool's JV team. Last time I checked Skyler Suggs was not DeMarcus Nelson. ( Committed to UCLA as a 8th grader.)

  3. Harrellson is an enigma. He has the potential but he doesn't ever seem to put it together. He is a legit 6'8 250, but he has a definite attitude problem. I would like to seem him show me something this coming season. I'm not sold on him yet, but I don't think Powell is all he is cracked up to be.

  4. Is this the 7 footer with red hair? Last time i check out Chaminade neither of the 7 footers were any good. I mean i like height just as much as the next person but they didnt really impress me.

First off, just because the player is a SLIGHTLY ABOVE AVERAGE high school basketball player does not mean he will be able to play in college. Sometimes I think that you just pick random names out of your favorite aau team and say that we should offer them. I have a couple of problems with your lists:

1st. For 2007, Marvin McNutt is highly doubtful to play college basketball. He exploded onto the college football scene and has many offer from high D1 programs. Why waste your time on someone who is not even going to play college bball. Secondly, 6'11 Will Bogan has already signed with Calipari's Memphis Tigers. This is a signing that no one saw coming, so you cannot fault Sodeberg. The dude has been playing organized basketball for 2 years. Don't get me wrong, I like big man projects, but at this time can Slu really afford another project? Again, why waste our recruitment time on a player that is clearly not coming here. Thirdly, Harrelson can be a beast sometimes but othertimes he looks clueless. The man needs to learn how to play basketball and not just how to be bigger than everyone. I have seen him play several times ( in person) and almost all of the times he picks up stupid fouls and loses his cool. Lastly, one name that you did not mention was Paul Eckerle. This is player whom you rarely talk about. A good shooter who loves to run and is athletic as Hell, sounds like a good fit. Oh Yeah, he is also ranked numbero uno is his class.

2nd. I will agree with you when you say the class of 2008 is loaded. But to include Ron Waller and Jared Swoopshire on your list is kind of idiotic. They will be decent D1 players but how many guards do you want? We can't offer every kid who has a basketball in his hand. Hopefully we can land Kramer and Suggs and be done with it. Also, to include Femi John on your list is laughable. The kid has a sweet name, but his game is not so sweet.

Lastly, when is the last time Torres Roundtree played an entire year? Everytime I turn around the kid is suspended for academic or personal reasons. I do not want that kind of repuation at SLU.

  6. Coach Sodeberg ,LS, and LM went out to a cardinals game sometime last week and actually went onto the new field and got to know all the ins and outs of the stadium. Hopefully, LS likes the cardinals and baseball. Then LM and Coach wined and Dinned him over a nice dinner.

  7. THe Moose looked pretty good. He got burned by the Cal signee early on, but then shut him down in the second half. THe moose was probably tied with being the best guard there with the guy going to Cal.

Also, Dustin talked with Knollmeyer and Knollmeyer said that he was pretty sure he was gonna go to Slu. Potentially very good news, as Knollmeyer looked very strong and was a good finisher. He looks like he would fill the power forward spot.
