I don't remember a day I saw so many top 25 losses. Works out well for SLU, we'll go somewhat unnoticed. I still think we fall to 15-20, but could be worse in a 2 loss week.

Very upset this is not a national broadcast. This is a top 10 team vs a bubble team. Why on earth would this not be a nationally televised game.

I see three really bad losses on their resume and I believe they'll pick up 2 more losses to end with 7 on the season. That's not a 3 seed. I also think the Big 10 is overrated thus giving them some inflated numbers in the RPI and KenPom.

No way should Wisconsin still be a 3 seed. I think they'll lose two more games to end the season, we move into the 3 seed in the Midwest and play in Milwaukee.

My wife and I talked about how much we liked that BK was clearly on our side. It was a very pleasant change from the usual commentators.

I'm curious where everyone goes to get their fix of SLU info. This board is great for discussion, but when you want your Billikens MBB news where do you get it? I've seen some people mention Scout, some CBS info, etc. I personally use the ESPN site, but there's not much coverage overall of SLU mainly because we are not in what is considered a power conference I believe. So who does the best job in your opinion of fulfilling that SLU fix?

Just honest question though, why are you all such dicks in both victory and defeat?
To be perfectly fair to you, I've wondered about this last question of yours before as well. We are not gracious winners, not sure why. But VCU made it an exciting game, in large part because we sucked at the free throw line, but nonetheless made it close.

Rob was incredible yesterday, best all around offensive game I have seen from him in a long time. He made some amazing passes to Dwayne in the post, knocked down 3's, posted up. He was awesome offensively.

My wife made the same comment about the start of the game. She couldn't believe how empty it was early on.

Or are others wishing we played UMASS sooner rather than later. They are slumping big time and I would rather not let them figure things out.

As far as I am concerned he can call us mid major any time he wants, as long as he follows up with a nice summary of how good we really are. The label is just a label.

The announcers were much more complimentary of SLU than the NBCSN announcers have been. Some of these previous games, like RI, the announcers were basically cheering for the upset.

Down by 18 with less than 12 min, looks like WSU is going to blow it. This is fairly typical of them, they always take some in conference losses they shouldn't. All we can do is keep on winning.

Title IX does not prohibit adding men's sports. Adding football would improve SLU's gender equity by enrolling more male students to a campus which is now disproportionately female (41% male vs 59% female, based on SLU university profile collected in 2012). As long as another women's sport is added to balance the equation. SLU currently has 8 men's sports, the women's has 9. How does Title IX come into play here?
It's not number of sports, it's number of scholarships.

Considering we only have to beat Jamaica and a few other also-rans every 4 years to qualify for the WC.. the draw is the draw. You're not gonna be an elite squad til you beat the other elite squads. Bring it.

I would have liked to see us move Dwayne to the 3 and put in TL or RA. I think we would have greatly benefited from that, even if we lost today that experience down the stretch for our Frosh would have been worth a lot.

What's funny about this thread is I couldn't remember if I had started it. I had the same thoughts reading about all of their transfers, especially the big shot blocker who's only a sophomore. I just couldn't remember if I had come to post about it.
