I have heard through the grapevine that there will not be a watch party at Chaifetz for the first game. That's a shame, it was a lot of fun last year. The students will have an on campus watch party. Looks like I'm heading to the BWW on Highway K on Thursday. GO BILLS!!!

I am not a huge Barnett fan so I can understand why people are putting some of this one him but the fact remains, he did not costs us the game. Sure he missed a great look to tie the game but we lost this game because of our inability to hit free throws and poor defense. I hope the rest between UMass and the A-10 tourney does this team so good because they need to rest and heal up. I think if they can get their legs back, they still have a chance to make a long run in March!!

I am as disappointed as all of us are - but there shouldn't be any fingerpointing or blame. We got beat tonight by a team that played better than us.
It happens. Each player on this team contributed to a great season. Same as the coaching staff. Let the bandwagon fans jump off - I wish we had won - but we didn't. Sometime reality is harsh - let's hope we build from this season.
Thanks to all the players - especially the seniors - the coaching staff. The players put in a tremendous amount of work as do the coaches. We fans just get to ride the wave.

It amazes me how the national media jumped on the New Mexico bandwagon. I know this was an upset but was NM really a 3 seed. When SLU destroyed them I wasn't impressed by them at all.

I hope that one day he'll be a senior at SLU, a basketball manager on the team or in the band or maybe even a walk-on. Pray that he gets his senior day!

For those of you who think making the Top 25 is unimportant:
I live in Huntsville, Alabama and went to Subway today to grab a sandwich while wearing a Billiken shirt. I had a 10 minute conversation with the cashier about the Billikens initiated by him. That conversation doesn't take place if we aren't ranked. Casual fans review the Top 25, they don't care about RPI, BPI, or anything else that ends in I.
I have had numerous experiences like that. Earlier in the season I never heard anything when I wore my Billiken gear, now I get comments everywhere.

This Touney is pretty simple for SLU. If we continue to play the way we have, we will be going home early. If we can play lock down defense and stop turning the ball over, we have a legitimate chance against anyone out there.
