The Billikens are 3-1 against ranked teams this season -- their most victories over ranked foes since 1993-94 -- but they've lost 16 straight road games versus Top 25 opponents since a 75-69 overtime victory against No. 23 DePaul on Jan. 22, 2000.</p></blockquote>

History means dick in college where rosters turn over every year.

Not true... history should mean alot to you..... because Crews' history can give you hope of success from when he was at evansville "10 years ago."... Coaches seldom change their style or philosphy.... talent vs drive and motivation can "mean dick"... as you stated...

  2. NBA career

    Larry Hughes =10,242 points

    Gordon Hayward=1782 points

    LH>GH

So if you don't know the facts then it must be fiction.

Lol... who was talking about points and career... wow... lack of attention on your own board... there was no statement about career status, it was initiated by conversation about hinkle fundraising... wow... did you graduate.

  3. Yeah I know unfortunately you don't understand context or the word juxtapose. But I will say that even if the Billikens win, they should be ranked and even if they don't, then they will because of the vcu game.

But this is about conference title hopes. After all why the hell would a coach get his team to a venue a full day ahead of time...when there iis no reason ie weather problems... Unless he wants to calm their nerves.

  4. It's obvious any team needs to not take SLU for granted at SLU home event if the opponent is ranked. The difference is this The thing about this game is that Saint Louis is going to be MORE flustered than they were at the 'Fetz. Saint Louis has yet to play a tough road game all year. They played ONE non-conference road game, which they lost to 14-13 Washington. Their toughest A-10 road game was at Temple, which they lost. They have had a cake A-10 schedule so far - my guess is they lose Friday, and at Xavier in a few weeks.

The double digit win predictions on your board are hysterical too. In Saint Louis' six road games this year, only three have been by double digits (Saint Bonaventure, Fordham, and Richmond). Those are three garbage basketball teams.

Do you really think you will stroll into Hinkle Fieldhouse, where Brad Stevens has an 82-12 record, and win by double digits? It has only happened twice since Stevens became head coach. Saint Louis is no where near the caliber of the two teams that did it.

Remember when you analyze your team be the devils advocate... Look at the full body of work... Butler has beaten two potential 1 seeds and 3 other teams who have been ranked.

  5. You're clearly naive to think that a coach won't try everything he can to give his team an advantage, especially after getting trounced in the first meeting.[/quote

So then what are the words that coach Crews will use for our Billikens knowing that they are going someplace they've never been and know the team they played before is going to have it in for them?

  6. Wow clearly you don't know Brad Stevens or coach Crews is you think either is using aspects of gamesmanship or a mind game.. They have known each other for a while and SLU kicked their butt because Crews at SLu, Gross at Illini, and coach at Lasalle know Butlers system. Hence the unusual losses but good for SLU... The biggest thing for SLU is to know that Butler rarely plays a team twice the same way...

Stevens said when he beat Gonzaga that butler wasn't a top ten team ... And after they lost to lasalle his peers and voters said "yes you are"<br />

    And kept them there.<br />

Their only loses are to X way back in November before they found their stride to a ranked Illinois who at the time was kickin butt and to lasalle before Clarke ...</p></blockquote>

You might be worthy, but we are better.</p></blockquote>
