Lets be clear.....
The young man can transfer anytime. However, if he wants to play basketball at his new school, he will need a waiver. The APR is broken but it is like a faulty cd player in a broken down car.

The ACC has made it clear that they are not interested in UCONN. Believe me, if they were, they would already be gone. UCONN has not been shy in their interest. UCONN football is atrocious AND they burned bridges big time with BC when they left the Big East the first time. Remember, UCONN sued Boston College and declare they would never play them again.

WVU and the Big East settled at 20 million.

I was sitting behindn the SLU bench and twice following missed shots, Majerus said "we couldn't ask for a better shot.". The ball movement was quite good but we missed a lot of open shots late. I think the foul trouble also made us tentative on defense and URI was ale to get easier shots than we would normally expect.

I'm headed to downtown Providence for dinner. We know if Rick and the boys are staying in Providence or down by airport? I'd love to run into them.

The basketball only schools in the big east will never leave. They will let the football schools leave so they keep the conference name, ncaa post season dollars and the MSG contract. Every comissioner EVER of the big east has been a Providence College AD or coach. Rest assured, the catholic basketball only schools have a plan.

The following was posted on a providence board. The poster is on the president's council at PC, so he gets more official word than most.
Begin quoted material....
I am not sure WVU "lost" their appeal. They did not prevail in the case filed in WV - although I am not sure that was actually litigated. In the BE suit filed in RI, the judge ordered the BE and WVU to mediate a settlement.
As I read the settlement, WVU got out early however it cost them a fortune in $$$. My take is theBE made out really well financially. The B12 paid a big chunk of the WV money because they really needed WVU in next year after their losses of teams the past two years.
The BE is OK now in both FB and BB however it may well be that the FB schools do eventually leave.
I do not hear any BB schools will be added unless/until a split happens. Mike T is on boaard in the event a split does happen and then X etc. will be in play.
12 FB schools means a playoff game in yankee stadium, more TV money for FB and BB and the league seems to have survived this latest Xstorm

We are hearing Louisville to Big 12 rumors here in Providence too. Also that Pitino would retire in response.

Basketball only big east schools are not going anywhere until they have to. This move, along with the others made recently, puts the big east on terra firma for a while I think. They are better in football now tahn before. Basketball takes a hit for sure but Temple and Memphis definitely have stopped the bleeding in that department. The Friars, Johnnies etc, will ride this hybrid until it dies and then we will see the new basketball conference we all dream of.

Syracuse is so effective in large part to their size. They are long from 1 to 5. This year, they are also very deep. I watched them play the Friars twice this year and it is the best team SU has had in recent memory.

It is working for me. Decent quality and solid play by play I think.

Hi. Here in Providence the word is that they will not be chasing any basketball only schools for the time being. There is talk of Gtown quietly working for a basketball only contingency. No question that the bball only Big East schools would have Xavier as target 1. Dayton makes sense as well with some rumblings about Butler, Creighton and SLU as well.

My girl and I are driving out to the game. This will be my first in person in a decade. Pretty pumped about it.

My lab logs all animal colony data on an ipad that then syncs via the cloud with every computer in the lab and offices. That count?
Still, I agree with your general premise.
