So 3.5" is a normal tie. 2.5" is a fairly skinny tie. I personally think 3" is the ideal width. I snagged a 3" navy a while back but they don't seem to have any blue fleur-de-lis in 3" anymore.

Thought there might be some interest in these. Here is a pretty inexpensive and solid quality fleur de lis tie so that you can not only show your SLU pride but also look dapper.

This is a moronic proposal. No half decent faculty member would choose SLU if they abandon tenure unless SLU were to pay a salary premium vs. other institutions which they clearly are not doing:
from http://www.slu.edu/o...t-recs_2012.pdf
I also found this to be quite ridiculous:
"5. Invitation to the President
President Biondi recently spoke to M. Knuepfer regarding the merit pool salary freeze. The president believes he has already adequately defended the logic for the decision and will not attend a Faculty Senate meeting to explain further. He has offered to review a summary of faculty concerns regarding the decision. The FSEC is preparing this document and will send a response which reflects faculty concerns. "

US medical schools admit very few international students, but overall, SLU has 900-1,000 international students. The premise of the Center for Global Citizenship is to serve both international students who study here but also domestic students who study overseas.
Yes, I'm definitely aware of the fact that med school generally have few if any international students. I was evaluating this proposal in the context of my undergrad institution, which is more than 25% international ( over 7,000 int'l students) and located in New York City.

longtime lurker, current slu med student
I think the whole premise of the center for global citizenship seems a bit odd considering we don't have a massive international student population and we are not in a global city, regardless: http://www.fox-arch.com/?s=slu
I wonder how much at&t donated for the naming rights to the auditorium.

I actually thought this would happen. I also think as long as they aren't blocking anyone's view or being offensive I don't see an issue with it. If I were making the sign I would write:
"Confidence in our Billikens
No confidence in Biondi"
