Not a well played game by VCU, but a great win for the Rams and the A-10.
Like Mizzou, UVA and V-Tech have refused to play their in-state Atlantic 10 counterparts. This was the first game in a 2 games series between UVA-VCU, but there's nothing planned beyond that.
They are also scheduled to play V-Tech for the first time in a long time in holiday tournament started by the Virginia Governor’s Office. The tournament was created to encourage more teams Virginia schools to play each other, but this is unfortunately its last year.
It would be nice if the tremendous fan interest to see more games like this (i.e. Mizzou-SLU, OSU-Dayton, etc...) but I doubt it.

If anyone is looking for something to eat while there...
Gold star or Skyline chili, Montgomery inn barbecue, Izzy's (great deli food, I recommend the goetta reuben), Graeter's Ice Cream (Black Raspberry Chip is unreal).
Sad I won't be going, but enjoy the 513. Go bills!
All awesome suggestions; and if you're in the mood for pizza; I'd recommend Larosa's.

What's the purpose?
The announcers loved it, and it got him/her on tv. Short of a case of beer and an A, I'm not sure what more a college kid could ask for.
Changes in Branding for Athletics

Like many others I don't hate the new university logo. I didn't dislike the old one, but "clean lines" is all the rage these days.
As for the Billiken, it's certainly not as bad as could have been, but that's not saying much. To me it seems like change only for change sake, and also not particularly original. Does anyone else think the new Billiken logo looks way too much like the TCU mascot?
All in all, SLU is yet another causality in the long line of college "rebranding" efforts but Nike and others. Mercifully the damage here was minimal.
