  1. I loved that back cut Princeton offense move. That is a good point about this team being in mid-season form already. The key is heady play and intensity. They have to be able to keep that up. Great coaches know how to push those buttons and keep their teams focused on every game. Do that and this team will go far. This team is doing it with role players and a few good players. If Majerus ever gets that one or two really special guys on a team that plays like this - watch out - that is what makes for a deep tourney run.

Continue to watch and have patience. As good as they are now, the team could even get better. If CE, RL and CR continue to improve, and as KM continues to old form, and if KC continues to want to shoot more, and JJ..., and DE..., and MM..., ......WATCH OUT. As someone else pointed out, there may be a reason this year that the Billiken smiling and winking.
  2. Someone womewhere in another thread said they were about to. That's what I'm going on. Heard here somewhere.

Also remember hearing the same. BK and KC supposedly took on enough classes to earn their degree early. and I also remember (if right) that RM was not happy about it when he found out and would be watching that closer in the future.

I have not heard anything to suggest that KC is planning to leave SLU early and maybe (just speculation) he wanted to get the classes out of the way so he could better enjoy his final year at SLU.

  3. woah woah woah. now i'll be the first to say that kyle probably doesn't have a shot at the NBA, but i'd say you're off in your assessment of him. kyle has at least average speed and athletic ability for his size and position and i would say he's an above average shooter. granted, he's not taking a ton of shots, but thus far he's scoring 11 PPG on 65% shooting and 55% from three. that's pretty sicknasty if you ask me.

    Totally agree with Jimbofive.

I know everyone wants to argue the pros and cons of Kyle's basketball skills and athletic abilities. That's fine but, I hope everyone also remembers that he did not come to SLU with high aspirations of going pro and using SLU as a stepping stone towards that goal.

IMHO, Kyle came to SLU for the degree and (not only) play basketball. Kyle will get his degree and honor his commitment for the scholarship and play the best basketball he is capable of and nothing less. Kyle will never be the best basketball player SLU has ever had but he will be one that you'll remember for awhile.
