No, I said there should be some concern for the woman involved. Nowhere did I mention a player or guilt.

So the police shouldn't come to SLU if there is a 911 call made just because it could be a false report?? That's brilliant.

Look at how many lives were ruined because a crazy hooker, crazy DA, and a race-baiting media all made false statements.

Nobody would also want there daughter to make an accusation that was false and our son/brother/blah blah blah to be accused. It goes both was cush and we could go on forever like this.
I agree with you. I was just shocked that no one on this board was even concerned for the young woman involved, as this has the potential of being a very traumatic experience.

So you use a police scanner to determine what exactly happened?
Most news rooms have a police scanner to alert them so they can send a reporter/camera crew to the scene, then that reporter gets his or her information from the police.

We have no idea at this point what exactly happened.
Regardless, as you are all Men for Others, we should hopefully express some concern for the woman involved. No one would want this to happen to our daughter/sister/girlfriend/wife/mother, etc.

Now would be the time to head over to Francis Xavier and light a candle for the young woman who was assaulted and hope she is ok. The fact no one is even concerned for her well-being is disgusting.

Big 12 is gonna be a midmajor conference when all this is said and done.
Especially if it has to give a piggyback ride to those old SWC teams...which I really and unfortunately see happening.
UH/Rice and SMU/TCU would be great regional rivalries, but who would want to see SMU play Iowa State in Ames or TCU play in the Purple People Eater Bowl against K-State?

There is another thread about UM going to the B10 and its impact on coverage of the B12 in St. Louis. Actually that thread, IMO misses the key point about that possible Conference move.
If the B10 picks up UM most speculations is that it will also pick up 2-4 other schools, making it a 14-16 team Conf. The other schools are all in the Big East (Rutg./ Syrac./ Pitt/ WVA/ND) If that "informed" speculation is correct then that will signal the end of the BE as a football conf., meaning that the other FB schools (LVL/Cincy) will need to find a new home. Again the same "experts" see both the ACC and SEC expanding providing a possible home for the remaining BE FB schools. Those same people see Texas and T A&M as joining up with the SEC and Colo. going to the PAC 10. Essentially, the B12 as we know it today will disappear.
Moving to how all that impacts SLU: If the BE is truly falling apart then that will be what we have all discussed on this Board-a new Conference, made up of BB only schools forming a true D1 BB powerhouse , consisting of most, if not all BE BB only schools joined by 4-6 other BB only schools e.g. X, UD SJU, Duq and SLU. Guys all the "Why we want to stay in the A-10 vs. the MVC" discussion might finally become moot. Our dream BB Conference might be imminent!
The Big XII, ironically, might have to go back to the old SWC teams it left behind...Southern Meth, Rice, maybe even TCU. Of course, this would mean a lot of these schools would have to upgrade their facilities (or just play all their games at the Cotton Bowl).

Last time I checked SLU is collegiate basketball. Thabeet plays for the Grizzlies a professional team. Thabeet was a stud at UConn. Not sure how you can compare the two other than they played on the same team for a year...

Ater Majok was a 5 star stud coming out of high school even though he struggled a bit last year at UConn.
See how well Hasheem Thabeet fared this year for more on UConn big men struggles.
