Were these loose seals named Lucille, by chance?
That seal leading to the Evans JAMTIME was like a fullback clearing a gap. Beautiful.
+1 for the AD reference

I live in chicago and had to wait until last minute to get tickets to make sure I was off work, so ended up getting a $76 ticket on stubhub for the lower level. My friend I had to get seperate seats too as the only 2+ tickets were in the $120s and up.

Any Chicagoans heading to Halsted Harp to watch tomorrow?

I met Spike Lee while studying abroad about 5 years ago and he sucked then, too.

Spike Lee stood up and shouted. Knew I didn't like that guy.

Really thought that was well done and nice things said about coach. Had me choked up

RIP Coach. Thanks for helping make my years at SLU so memorable.

If anyone was wondering, the front page of my Columbus Dispatch today has a picture of SLU fans and an article about out of towners at the games yesterday. Ha

Works for me! Thanks!!

Great to hear from you OHBillikenDad, and glad to have you posting! I have a back-up room reserved at the Drury if my other plans don't work out. Thanks for the advice on the area. I have never been to Columbus, but am looking forward to the trip this weekend! I'm sure you were pretty excited to see that the Billikens landed in your home town. Did you get an extra cheer in there when you found that out yesterday evening? Are you going to make the Friday night game? I'm thinking a lot of us should try to meet up in the afternoon for some food and beers. Where is a good place to meet?
Boston's is a sports bar right across the street from the arena. It is nothing too special but would be a good/easy place to meet up. Also would probably be very crowded before games though. R Bar is another on Front Street, a 5 minute walk away. I haven't actually eaten there but have been there for nightlife and its nice- have patio seating too.

There are two, but both appear to be a fair distance from downtown.
The Winking Lizard is a great bar with good beer selection, but you are right, neither is close to downtown. To stay near downtown, try the short north neighborhood on high street http://www.shortnorth.org/dining or german village http://www.gvbusinesscommunity.com/dine-2/dine/ (Katzinger's Deli, Schmidt's)

What is there to do in Columbus? Any good restaurants?
Do they have a combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell?
Right by the arena is Big Bang piano bar and Buca di Beppo. There is Boston's sports bar and Ted's Montana Grill (feat. the bison burger) across the street. Also would recommend Gordon Biersch brewery if looking for something different. Elevator Brewery has good beer and is close by as well.
I have tickets but have to find out if I can get Friday off to travel to Columbus for the game...

I think Duke's might be my favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6IENQ-Cc3o&feature=relmfu

The radio feed is not working for me either.
Mine is in and out.

I am planning on moving to Chicago in the summer and would LOVE a SLU bar. Get on it!

As mentioned previously, 6 game suspension for the Cincinnati players (Gates, Ellis, Moodj) plus a 1 game suspension for Guyn....But, the Big East supports Cincinnati's punishment and will not levy further suspensions...
I wonder what Xavier and the A-10 will do...
I will be shocked if the NCAA doesn't step up add to these suspensions. After the recent events involving Penn State and Syracuse, I would think the NCAA is trying to do everything it can to improve it's image... Thinking they might be a bit more aggressive with the punishments.
-
I blame the A10 on this also.
How come when we play a Horizon or a WCC school, they have free streams with excellent quality?
I did it once, fork out $10, and the stream was on perpetual buffer or they were clueless on what to show.
If you pay for the stream, and it sucks, write to them and you will get your money back. I paid for a SLU A-10 tournament game a couple of years back and didn't have sound/ lots of buffering the entire first half...wrote a nasty email complaint and was refunded immediately, PLUS got to watch the 2nd half with sound and no issues

"Maybe you should start going to games because $1.67 per ticket for a Division I basketball game is a better deal than you're getting on anything else in your entire bill."
+1

My Dad is attending the game, sitting one section over from the SLUnatics, he said they're doing a fantastic job and that the Xavier fans in their section look miserable. Props

Game isn't streaming online anywhere is it?
http://www.channelsurf.eu/ doesn't seem to have it
You can try: http://www.livesportstream.us/drupal-7.0/?q=node/31
though it isn't working very well for me.
