Eddie Pells of AP wrote today "The A10 is the closest thing to a power conferance without actualy being one.

Are we missing a move by Missouri State. They have played football against BCS schools this year. They would be a fit for the Big 12.(if it is still around) If not then one of the western conf. There basketball would also be a fit.

I don't agree with Warmann that RM should be bought out but his view of the team is that of many in the STL media and many BB fans in the area.
-
The problem with the white out is old fat guys like me don't own anything white.
-
It seems that US Bank has replaced Boatmans with ads. The amount of money being spent by companies is down from what it was but still large enought to support a NBA team.
-
What about Edward Jones, Scottrade, Emerson, Monsanto, just to name a few. As a kid I got to go to Hawk games becaues my dads company had season tickets. The company was not a large one but a small firm that entertained its customers. STL could support a NBA team but would it?

It just takes time. They have been saying that since the 20's. The number of people playing soccer in STL is down from what it was in the 60's and 70's. The decline has been in the older age groups.
-
Back in the days of the Metro league that played at Fairgrounds park and the CYC teams that played all over the area it was said why would you pay to see the pro team (The Stars) when you could see just as good a level of soccer on any given sunday for free at the parks around STL.
-
Why should or would you recruit local players that are rated lower then the ones you are recruiting? This team is not setup for a up tempo style game.

I think I saw Melvin Robinson leave the court last night. The people doing the game were laughing at the Bill's. That is hard to take.
-
Took Bill's got 3I think it will be your typical back and forth game of runs. 71-68 is a nice score but we can't be living in a dream world banking on Willie making 3 of 4 free throws down the stretch.
-
The Ref's handled the game Wed like a NBA game with the star not being called for anything.Bills are 12-3 against the spread since the start of the A-10 season. Two words: Cody Ellis.
The fascination this board has with blaming the refs for everything is amazing. They may not be good but they aren't intentionally cheating SLU.

I took the Bill's and got 10Agreed, but 11? Sure hope my bookie agrees w/ your line.
-
The line is Temple 2 1/2Where to Jimmy?

To ans that question,it is YES. If you look I would bet you would find companies like Pasta House and Sportsprint on the list of season ticket holders. I see there CEO's or owners at a lot of games. I would bet even the dentist mentioned used his company to buy the season ticket.(nothing wrong with doing that)Do corporations buy that many seats to college games? I thought that was more of a pro sports thing.

I took the Bills and gave 5Bills again in sandwich game, might be looking back at tough loss to Xavier and taking a peek ahead to Temple on Weds.
You have to think they will come out a tad flat, be down 8-10 pts mid-1st half.
"Revenge" factor in favor of Duq. is a huge factor, especially with young SLU team.
Public is betting 2-1 on Duq. + the points so far after their nice underdog straight up wins over Dayton and at Charlotte last two.
Tough spot for the Bills... but in similar situation last week at U. Mass, they came through.
Bills have been underestimated at home all year.
So again, SLU should hopefully prevail.

Interesting the only flight today listed to St.Louis is cancelled
-
If Duquesne isn't already here will they be able to make because of the weather in Pitt?
-
The line is 4 1/2nm
-
two things don't look past Umass and fat old guy's don't wear white therefore don't own anything white.
-
Is there any TV for the Umass game?
