Salukitalk would have four threads on a game if SIU were playing St. Mary's Sisters of the Poor. We're a passionate bunch. Another exhibit of this will likely be when SIU fans are louder than the SLU fans at Chaifetz tomorrow night.

We've had 50 + page threads on Kyle Cassity.

I'm guessing it has something to do with people caring.

Right now, more threads are going on the FCS Quarterfinal with William and Mary that will take place tomorrow morning at 11.

I'm on SalukiTalk, and without giving the store away... there a few on there who are easy to get under their skin.

However, please be creative with your smack. Surely you can do better than "redneck" and the ol' St. Louis classic version of the insult, "hoosier." Think of it this way, 70% of the student body comes from within two hours of Chicago. Dear Lord, with all the material out there for insults, you could bring a more creative form of smack. I'm pretty disappointed "redneck" is all you can come up with.

The real rednecks down there are UK and/or NASCAR fans anyway... if you ever lived down there you'd understand.

ST is normally a great board. You guys do an awesome job with the board.

We haven't had to deal with this kind of thing either. The fact that we had this meltdown after losing to you guys is a by product of our lofty expectations coming into this year, fueled by media hype among other things.

I never said the transformation of this team is complete. All I said was that this was one big step towards the ultimate goal. Now I know SIUC is not the team they thought they had so far but they did beat the #24 team in the nation the other day so they are not chop liver.

There are rational people there but they being drowned out by Kool-Aid drinkers hitting the deck and jumping ship.

Hello. SIU fan chiming in here.

With all that you have on your side for the future (new recruits, Chaifetz, Majerus, adjusting to a new system), you can look toward the future and find it's very bright. Also, you think this board complains, take a look at Saluki Talk over the last few days.

You will be fine, trust me.
