  1. Kevin I can never question your effort you play your butt off. I can deal with the missed shots. The free throws are what I find unacceptable. You are normally a good free throw shooter. These are give me points. How huge were those two he missed late in the Dayton game. Even before when the shots weren't falling, we could always count on your free throws.

Kevin didnt have a good night of shooting. I sit behind the bench, I heard TL tell KL to keep on shooting
  2. This was a great win and it still seems amazing to me and I was there. BE was hurt and could not play and Bryce was hurt this week so Knollmeyer started and although at times he looked totally gassed he played about 15 very good minutes and he was playing tough under the boards, filling space and getting rebounds and he hit a nice jumper and a really nice jump hook over two shot blockers. Congrats to Adam. When he got his opportunity to play he really took advantage. I assume we will see more of him for the rest of the year.

Also amazing is the fact that Kevin had one of the worst offensive production games of his Billikan carreer and at crunch time when all we needed to do was hit our free throws he missed two front ends and another free throw scoring only one of 6 possible points. He also turned it over at a crucial time in the last two minutes. Yet we still beat a ranked team. To give Kevin his due he played tough defense on Baron and others and he handled the ball a lot against the press.

The star of the game by far was Tommie! He hit huge shot after huge shot and his three late was the deciding shot. He played tough against their big inside guys. For much of the game he was the three man or the four man and he hung in there. For the last part of the game we were playing Luke at the five, Danny at the four, Tommie at the three with Kevin and Paul--an incredibly small team against a very big and very athletic nationally ranked team. On this night matchups did not matter--what mattered was the heart of the players and everyone who played for the Bills played wih a lot of heart.

Paul had his best game ever. He hit 3 big threes and played hard nosed defense against Baron when Kevin was out. He made some bad turnovers but overall he was money in a big game. 13 points from a walkon against a ranked team!

Bryce had 8 rebounds and he seemed to rebound out of his area, a first for Bryce. Luke was vintage Luke against the trees in the middle-- he fought for every loose ball and he got knocked to the floor but got back up. He also hit some huge shots.

The bast thing about this game is that we won and at times I really did not think we were playing that well. But we hit shots and we defended like crazy. Maybe this team does have some talent!

The team and the coaches deserve a lot of credit in coming back from the 20 point game. RM did a lot of substituting and when we were up 47-35 with 7 minutes to go and he took out both Tommie and Luke I almost had a heart attack.

They immediately went on a run and cut it to four but we held them off. Great win for our Billikens!

If they dont run that motion offense they will win a lot of games. The assisstant coaches put that offense in there. GREAT JOB COACHES
  3. I think it is clear that KL and TL are finally comfortable in this offense. There was no hesitation tonight. And yes Billikan............this is the Majerus offense. Lol.

TL and RM seem to be ok , I sat behind our bench and every time TL came out of the game RM said way to go, your going right back in. Also in the second half Tommie hurt his ankle, at a time out Tommie told RM he couldnt drive to the basket. He will have an xray today
  4. NAIA players at best. Majerus should unload them. I'm sick of them both not scoring 20 points every game.

Kevin will reach it before TL, because of the system they are running.I saw one of our players and i asked him why he hasnt worn his signature headband. He said rm wont let them wear headbands. I want to know whats wrong with wearing headbands dont they keep sweat out of your eyes.Someone please tell me why?
  5. It is ridiculous to say we did nothing different and Biancardi admitted after the game that we switched to a drive and kick offense-- an offense that obviously benefits Tommie and Kevin. The fact that RM changed is amazing and a good omen. His public statements were just the opposite.

The thing that bugged me the most is that rather than admit that RM might be running the wrong offense for this team many decided that it must be that we have no talent and no players--a ridiculous proposition that was proved false tonight.

Your exactly right he changed the offense. They were aggressive from the start, if he goes back to that passive offense, he sucks..
  6. Read TT's article today. RM basically saying he's not sacrificing his system to fit this year's personnel. He's conceded this year will be a struggle and probably next year as well. The most we can hope for this year is to see players get comfortable in his system, especially TL, KL, BE, and PE so at least we have some foundation to build on with the incoming class. Also, that we land a couple of solid JUCO's that will make this transition period a little easier to swallow. But it's clear now this year is going to be a "test track year" rather than a year to try and win races. He's not going to give in and say, ok let's do something you're comfortable with. Very telling about our woeful shooting when TL gets scolded for taking a 16 footer, "that's not a shot we like", then passes on a wide open 3 because of doubt. As many have noted on here, you can't shoot well if you're trying to decide in a nano second if this is a good shot or a bad shot. Well, no one ever said it was easy being a Billiken fan.

How selfish is that, rm is an a_ _ hole. KL and TL should transfer as soon as possible. TT put this in the news paper.
  7. I understand that RM is trying to properly build the foundation to make this program successful in the long-run, BUT even with KL, TL, and BE being back presumably filling three starting spots next year (I'm going to assume PE won't be in the starting lineup), if it took these guys this long to learn the system, then imagine how long it will take the freshman to learn the system while adjusting to the speed of the college game. With only 3 or 4 guys on the roster that effectively understand this system it still will not work. We may not see this thing work for two years (when this next recruiting class are sophomores). This is a shame IMO because I feel like it will hinder guys like TL and KL from being as successful as they could have been at this level. This is particularly disappointing because I honestly feel that TL has the talent to play at the next level.

Kevin and Tommie are going to suffer, with this system. both may have a chance at the next level
  8. This result tonight is EXACTLY what I predicted after seeing the downward spiral over the previous two games. 39 points is a joke. I am sorry, but I will not accept that we have bad players. We have the same team as last year with the omission of Ian which is significant but we have a highly rated juco 4 man and 4 other starters with a year's more experience. We supposedly have a much superior coaching staff so you should expect better play and most on this board did when they predicted the record for this year. Yet, we played much better a month ago than we are playing now.

I feel like the kid that saw the big present under the tree and could not wait to open it and when I got to Christmas it was filled with sawdust (or worse)!

I see this season going down the drain. Convince me why I should be optimistic for this year after collectively the worst three games I can ever remember as a Billiken fan for our team. The schedule does not get any easier and we have played horrible in the first half of EVERY game this year.

RM has broken those kids confidence by talking about they lack talent. Even if he fells that way he shouldnt say that in the media
  9. In order for Majerus' offense to work, he needs big men. His specialty is big men and his livelihood is completely dependent on them. Its apparent that Majerus needs them more than any other types of players. If you look at his history, his most productive players have been front court players (sans Andre Miller). So, with this knowledge, we should take into consideration the lack of big men and have faith that once he gets his big men things will be back to normal.

You said he needs big men, he does not have that, a real coach would change his system to something that works. Hall of Fame coach YEAH RIGHT!!!!!
  10. Iwas at a resturant after the longbeach game and in comes two of our players I wont state their names. And they were talking about RM they said and I quote coach needs to change this system.Ever our players are complaining.RM talks about our players in the media, how does he expect kids to go out there and play after he says they lack talent.
