That was a great crowd MU had this weekend for that exciting brand of basketball you think teams need to play to draw.

With half the students gone for the break at Mizzou it wasn't bad . SLU can't draw in a major city ! You put Mizzou's team in SLU's place and the Scottrade is packed each game ! SLU has to score more than 30 at the half before people start spending money ! Paul will be at a NAIA school next year. It will be good for him.

Ekerle will be at Saint Louis U regardless of basketball he is studying pre-med.
He would walk on before going elsewhere and from what I have seen he will be one of those depth people who spells another guard for a few minutes per game in the future with out any drop off.

Doug Wallace is NOT a DI prospect !!!! STLinsider, stop it with this crazy statements, please ! You also said Anthony James is a DI prospect too. I've watched that kid play twice this year and he would have a hard time making UMSL's team ! You are going to loss all credibility talking like this. You go from saying that Harris Stowe has a good program and they haven't had a winning season in 25 years to Doug Wallace being a DI prospect . It's good that this is only a hobby for you !

eckerle never comes in the game and plays the point. he might guard the opposing point guard (which mitchell could do as well) but he doesnt play the point offensively. if polk isnt in the game the chore goes to lisch or liddell.
i would rather see relphorde play the 4 so that meyer can stay at the sf spot. i agree luke meyer is a far better power forward at this point in time, however i think luke excels at the sf position and actually has an advantage as a small forward once in awhile defensively.
agreed majerus hasnt discarded them yet. i hope he doesnt. i used that phrase as what i hope he isnt doing. i want to see the coaching staff coach these two young talents.
btw, the discussion was about relphorde and mitchell, but you felt the need to again bring soderberg into it. no reason to bring that into a discussion about coaching our current players. you really need to get over the soderberg crutch for your never ending excuses.
Anyone that knows the game SHOULD tell you that Relphorde and Mitchell should be playing over Luke Meyer ! Some of you would rather lose with subpar players rather than win with the players that should be playing. Oh , I almost forgot that I'm in St.Louis. That explains everything. I'm sorry !

You are absolutely ridiculous hoops. If you are just trying to stir some debate up then I understand your ridiculous post. However, if you honestly believe that TL and KL are not D-1 players and that they should be expected to transfer then you are out of your mind. Last season, ESPN ranked TL as the 13th best SF in the country (don't have a link). Numerous publications have given compliments to KL and TL saying that they are among the better and yet most under-rated backcourts in the country.
I'm glad that I have come into contact with such an excellent basketball mind that can identify talent better than any other basketball mind around. Maybe with that extraordinary knowledge of the game, you could be a championship coach for a CYC team. You know..many gradeschools out there that have tryouts would love to have your great basketball mind at work...

if you are referring to tatum when he was at slu, he sat out the first three semesters at slu due to academics and thus he had 3 unused semesters of school. he could have actually came back and played at slu his senior year as well but he and romar had apparently grown to hate each other so much neither wanted anything to do with another year at slu so he used it at mckendree.
Romar would have this current SLU team playing better basketball !

I was at the game and saw it the next day on TV. It was on Channel 5's morning news. What I saw was basically what Band Man stated. He was very frustrated and said blame him. Thanks for being a smart-ass asking about it.
RM is looking forward to next season and that is a fact ! He would not have made those comments if he wasn't. I think he is going to clean house. He should ! I'm sure TL , KL and LM are all considering options for next year. I can see TL at SEMO, KL at UMSL, and LM at Lindenwood.

To answer your question, I'm honestly not sure. How many top high school players have Oklahoma City on their list? I would think the top guys would be looking at OU first, then OSU. I know Oklahoma City is a fine NAIA program and I think it will be a fun game to watch. You said it wouldnt. Lets agree to disagree and that be the end of it. No reason this thread to turn into a bash Harris-Stowe or bash Oklahoma City thread. It was actually about class of 2010.

You can't bash Oklahoma City because they have 2 National Championships in the last three years. I agree, it's not even worth the time to mention Harris Stowe Basketball at all ! Probably the worse college program in the state of Missouri !!!

All I'm saying is that they beat a D2 school by 15 and didn't have their best player, so they cant be that bad.

Have they had a season in the last 20 years where they've won 10 or more games ? I think that's a fair question. Them beating Rolla is not that big of a deal ! I don't think too many of the top high school players in STL have Harris Stowe on
their list of potential schools !

I think it will be a fun game to watch. You probably didn't think Harris-Stowe would be a D2 like UM Rolla by 15pts without their starting pf 6'8 Phil Stewart either, did you? Crichton has been ranked right up there with Oklahoma City all year and they only beat Harris-Stowe by 9pts at home and now they have to come to Harris-Stowe to play. Come to the game hoops88, I'll be there man, we can banter then.

I hope that you are not going to say he is a DI player too ! Harris Stowe will never be a powerhouse in college basketball because the school won't put money into the program.

Oklahoma City does get a lot D1 transfers, but Lisch would start for them Oklahoma City recently had Lorenzo Gordon from Illinois State lead them to the National Final Four in 2006 averaging about 20 and 10 and earning all kinds on honors. For those who want to see Oklahoma City for themselves, they will be here on December 30th to play Harris-Stowe. 4pm tip off.

No, Lisch could not start for Oklahoma City, but he could for Harris Stowe. I don't see why Oklahoma City is even playing Harris Stowe. That won't be a fun game to watch !

RM is basically saying that none of the current players are his and it's basically a done deal for them next year. Yes, KL and TL too. RM is telling you that he would not have recruited any of them. Maybe KL will transfer to Kansas next year and start for them following year. Maybe LM will transfer to Memphis and start for them as well !
