That would be a great conference for all involved.I think Steve meant the major Catholic basketball power (who don't play Div 1 football) of the Midwest and Northeast. Schools like Villanova, St John's, Providence, Georgetown, Creighton, Marquette, XU, St Joe's, Seton Hall, DePaul, etc..
Papal conference is too Catholic. It would never happen. You think TV would go for that (all right maybe EWTN but never ESPN or the networks-where the $ is).
Big East would be my favorite and a league I think we might have a little chance (maybe 25%) to get into. The other major leagues we would need football to be even considered and I don't believe that is going to happen.
Steve make it happen.

SLu needs to win some games get to the tourney and reach the great 8 to prove they are a better program than Mizzou. Until then they will be the 2nd or 3rd best program in MO.I'm all for playing ANYONE D-1 in the area who will play us, just so we can put to rest all questions of superiority. AHEM, Mizzou.

I guess you can say, if you make the single digits, its pretty good. Now will the MVC maintain the single digit level or go to 00 to 04 levels and can the A10 go back to 00-04 when they had a single digit level? One thing that is noticeable is, when we played in the CUSA, that was a tough league (especially in 04 and 00, the year of the Memphis miracle). Now if you take away Memphis for 06 and 07, CUSA would probably be a +16 or 17 level conference.

Assume the bills don't need football or anything else to join a conference and all conferences want them.Yea it would be great to get in the ACC/Big 12-10/ or SEC, but wouldn't we need football first?

If the Bills could be in any conference, what conference would you want them in?
At first I thought the ACC or Big 12. I would love to see them play against some of those schools every year, but could they compete. The old Cof USA was a good fit. They had some high profile schools and couod compete. If they couldn't go back to Conf. USA, I would choose the Valley.

which is it? Is the A10 rising and the Valley falling or will the A10 beat eachother up? On paper the A10 may be getting better and the Valley falling. Until they play we don't know. If you won't wager you can't be too sure the A10 is better. It's okay to admit the Valley is better. It's not down grading the bills.the A-10 is rising MVC is falling thats why its hard to tell

Won't the Valley have the same problem? It is okay to be a bills fan and admit the valley is a better conference.That would be against my better jusdgement seeing as the A-10 will probaly beat each other up during conference play and hurt their chances at bids

Want to wager? If the Valley gets more teams you can't post till the bills tipoff the 08 season. If the A10 gets more teams in, I wil do the same.not saying you cant talk about it but if I do my bracketology and have 7 A-10 teams make it to the NCAAs and 1 MVC team makes it I cant say the A-10 is automatically the better conference. Im not trying to stir anything up but It is a very sebateble topic

If the tradition comes back, can we post pictures of men and farm animals to gawk at? I would hate to cross any lines.Sigh! I would say, "You don't want to know," but, sadly, you probably do. We had good posters leave because of the "earlier Friday tradition." There are plenty of other sites to find pictures of women to gawk at; this site should remain centered on the Billikens.

Bet the house on Kelly Pavlic. He has too much power for Taylor. If Spinks was backing taylor up, Pavlik will knock him out. Spinks ran fromTaylor and still got his shots in and almost beat Taylor. Pavlik wil stand in front of him and swing away.

I used to agree with you, but a five day suspension changed my mind. I love all of you, because you support billiken basket ball and other athletics. I love roy the most because he is the biggest billiken supporter and athletic supporter. Steve runs a great board and service. We should all thank him and not abuse his board.It's about to get quieter because Steve said we couldn't be mean to anyone any more. Imo not allowing us to be mean .... is mean. It's not fair.
Steve, how about an update on GW. What can we expect from them. Maybe, we can have a nice debate on GW VS SLU.

He is a goon who couldn't get into a good school like duke and turned his back on MU and SLU. Ian also outplayed him.if you want to hate on a few fans that are guilty of not being billiken fans that is one thing, but what did hansborough ever do to deserve that hate? imo, hansborough is the model of a hard working kid that isnt about the headlines and willing to do the dirty work for his team to win. i would love to have hansborough on my team anytime.
I don't mind when fans are not billiken fans. I just hate annoying rednecks who talk with a twang. MO ST had a bunch of fans here last year. They were fine.

There goes Roy yelling at people again. I will stay away from making fun of people to avoid another ban. Can someone please tell me how this Roy guy stays on here? He never seems to have anything nice to say and always goes off on people. Not to mention the guys who were aloud to give me ###### well I was banned from the board. That is all. I will stick to basketball or womens soccer.so what's the point of giving us a link when you have to have a membership to view the answer?
if it is "now down to two", it would seem it would be easy to name the two schools.

Is it okay to start a thread bashing Hansborough. I hate him and all th NC/Poplar Bluff hicks who came into town last year.It was Athalon. I skimmed through the same book at the Piggly Wiggly. Although, Hansborough was on the cover here.
Those fans had to be the worst to ver come to the Lou. I would share the story about how my buddy almost got in a fight at the game, but the language would get me banned4life.
