  1. Ok-

This is the only time I will respond to this guy. In one of a dozen PMs you sent to me belittling everybody I know on this board, you called myself, Davola, 05, and "the crew" chess club players....I responded and said "05 might look like he is a chess player (although i like him) but Davola certainly doesnt"

Thats DEFINITELY not putting 05 down. He knows that. We're boys. haha I didnt even defend myself from being included in this "chess club".

This is the only time i will respond to you. In no way did I put 05 down in anyway. Thats ridiculous. In fact, I stick up for him EVERY time on this board.

You've repeated that line so often but don't stick to it. I wish you would.

And we both know what you said about Bill05.

  2. We're gonna have to finish fourth, all alone, and win a tourney game or two I think. Beating UD would go a long way towards securing a spot. The NIT couldn't justify bumping us for them if that happens. With a lot of the BCS'ers shooting themselves in the foot these last two weeks, eg CT, NIT spots are gonna be tougher to hand out to the lower conferences.

We're currently a 7 seed(out of 8) and on the bubble if you look at that Nit-ology site. They have Dayton as a 1 seed.

  3. When you live by the three you die by the three. Simple and easy. Normally our shots fall pretty well. We were I believe 5-24 from three point land and cassity missed all of his and ellis and mitchell only hit one each, off nights for all of them from deep. Not putting kyle down he's a great kid, leader, defensive player, and I believe will be a captain next year. We were also beaten on the boards and our assists to turnovers was lackluster. These are the reasons why we lost.

Agreed. They've had only one game(vs Richmond) where they weren't competitive all year long. And a few of those losses possibly could have turned out differently had Ellis been here for them. It's not really going out on a limb to say they can win the A10 tourney. They can play with and beat anyone in this league.

  4. Like I said, you rarely participate in substantive discussions about SLU. You're rarely, if ever, post in a game thread. I rarely, if ever, see you post any post-game thoughts. I rarely, if ever, read your analysis of the team or the coach. Etc., etc., etc.

Just because you post a couple of Billiken-bubble stories from espn hardly means you take part in substantive discussions.

Further, I don't think you've denied that you're billiphan. I only see that you dispute whether billiphan was banned or not.

In fact, when a poster started a thread stating that he thought Postcard was billiphan, your response was basically, "are you really that dense?", suggesting that it was a no-brainer that postcard and billiphan are one in the same.

Mods, please apply the precedent to this joker.

You're just proving my argument that you can't get enough of me. Most sane men(you're not either) would choose to ignore me. I have posters on ignore. It's really pretty easy. Stop RESPSONDING TO THIS. IT JUST KEEPS IT GOING.

And when did you become the judge of what's substantive and when did you start tracking who participates in which discussions? I think your Billiken analysis sucks and you never bring anything worth to the board.

  5. LOL.

billiphan: No seriously, take it to PM's. I'm tired of talking about it and so is the board. Take it to PM's. But for the umpteenth time, I'll ask you a question on the message board about Bernie's board, which you have already answered multiple times.

Seriously, how is this guy still allowed to post here? It's clear he was previously banned/suspended, came back with a new name and does the same ole routine. He rarely participates in a substantive discussion about SLU. Seems we set a precedent with Metz and should apply that here.

These are all threads I've started in the last month. I would say they're all SLU and basketball related. If you don't like what I post, don't read it. It takes two to tango. There are plenty of posters on this board that get off track more than I do.

  6. For the second time, I did not threaten a kid on another Board. Not sure where you come up with that. I answered your question.

Now for the fourth time, answer a question that pertains to THIS board - Why did you change your name from billiphan to postcard?

For the fifth time, please take this to PM's. I don't know why you insist on doing this. We could settle this through the proper channels whch are PM's. If not for me, do it for the board.

No one buys your answer. Come clean. Why did you threaten that poster's kid on the Bernie Board and get banned from their Detective?

  7. You're changing the argument now. I took issue with your weak attempt to group Mizzou with big time programs like KU, Duke and Illinois. Mizzzou draws 5,000-6,000 for many non-conference games. That's not big time.

Why not answer this simple question - Why did you change your name from billiphan to postcard?

The argument was about student sections, not general attendance. You changed the argument again. And we were also talking about conference games not non conference games. Give it a rest! Quit dodging the facts.

Why did you threaten that poster's kid on the Bernie Board and get banned fromt their Detective? Please answer in a PM. I'm sure people don't want to read our back and forth.

  8. Once every 20 games? Mizzou is also 4 times bigger than SLU.

    3 times bigger.

So if SLU has 7500ish students and 2000 show up for the game that means about 1 in every 3-4 students goes. If the University of Missouri at Columbia gets 2000 to show up thats 1 in 14 students.

SLU gets 2000 students fans maybe twice a year(probably more like 1000) but the rest of the games there are usually 50-100. There is no comparison.

  9. Mizzou draws 5-6,000 total for many nonconference games. That's not big time.

Feel free to call me detective. No problem. Not sure where you are getting this I was banned from Bernie's board. That is some story you made up to deflect after I busted you on here for ripping SLU and our fans on that board, while waving the Tiger pom poms.

Why did you change your name from billiphan to postcard?

Detective, we're talking conference games here. Check the attentance for Mizzou's conference games vs SLU's this year.

I hope you don't threaten any children on this board low life.

  10. I heard alot of profanity from the temple players. Especially Allen.

You are such a wuss. You act like you this crazy fan in the stands and talk about how your friends have to hold you back and you scream all this BS at the opposing team and then ONCE when an opposing player curses(oh my! While I never!) you get your panties all bunched up. This is exactly what Thicks is talking about when when he says SLU fans aren't prepared for big time basketball. I guarantee you the "leader" of student sections at Mizzou, KU, Maryland, Duke, Illinois, etc wouldn't be complaing because of some profanity from an opposing player. WEAK!

  11. I don't wear Pac-10 glasses. I'm with you guys. If you only knew what it is like to be surrounded by all these Old Blues from Cal, when you know in your heart that SLU is really better than those Golden Bears.

The Pac-10 has been getting ripped pretty good by the Left Coast Media.

However, I'm a Doubting Thomas on the Pac-10 only getting 1 bid.

I see 2 for sure, and maybe 3 NCAA bids coming out of the Pac-10.

I just don't see either of these teams getting a bid. There are too many teams in front of them that are more deserving and I don't see them making up ground in the next week.

    Per ESPN Bubble Watch:

Washington [19-9 (9-7), RPI: 53, SOS: 58] The Huskies remain a fringe bubble candidate at best after beating Washington State 59-52 on the road Saturday. With a 2-6 record in true road games and a middling computer profile, the Huskies will probably have to win the Pac-10 tournament to make the NCAA field. The Huskies have a couple of RPI top-50 wins, beating Texas A&M (home) and Cal (home). But Washington has very little else to show from Pac-10 play, other than so-so home victories over Arizona State and Arizona. The Huskies are 2-2 against RPI top-50 opponents and 6-5 against the top 100. They have four losses to teams that are ranked No. 100 or worse in the RPI ratings, and 13 of their 19 victories came against teams that are ranked No. 128 or worse. The Huskies close the regular season at Oregon on Thursday night and at Oregon State on Saturday.

Arizona State [20-9 (10-6), RPI: 54, SOS: 74] The Sun Devils' best chance at landing an NCAA at-large bid probably required them to win a share of the Pac-10 regular-season championship. Instead, Arizona State lost to California for the second time this season. The Sun Devils have one victory over an RPI top-50 opponent, defeating San Diego State 55-52 at home on Dec. 19. They have only two other wins over RPI top-100 foes, beating Washington (home) and Arizona (road). The Sun Devils are 1-5 against RPI top-50 opponents and 3-7 against the top 100. Arizona State closes the regular season with home games against USC on Thursday and UCLA on Saturday. Unless the Sun Devils win the Pac-10 tournament, they are probably bound for the NIT.
