Soderberg, along with Coaches from Missouri, Oklahoma, Ohio, Ar State, USML, Henderson State and others were spotted in the THREE RIVERS gym Tuesday night to watch Three Rivers vs Mineral area battle for a spot in the 16 team NJCAA National Tourney. There were 7 or 8 D-1 type players on the floor. I'am sure they were looking at several players as the smaller Schools do not have a shot at Greskenas or couple of Mineral area players. Griskenas showed why he is region 16 player of the year. He had decent numbers 19 pts, 8-9 boards, couple blocks but once again it was his over all game that had to impress the Coaches. Played all over on D and also help bring the ball up agaist a full court press from Mineral Area. It was one of the most intense games I've seen in a long time. Three Rivers won 85-82 I think. To bad only one of these teams can go to the Nationals. PS Mineral Area has a point Guard Ricky Claitt about 6' 2" who brad may have been looking at also. He is being recruited by some high Majors, so say the rumors.

Mantas Griskenas was named player of year in Juco region 16. He was named poy for his over all outstanding play rather than eye-poping numbers. Plays the 2-3 for Three Rivers.

Hey Mantas Griskenas would be a great get for SLU, if you guys don't want him there are a bunch of other D-1 programs that do. Ranked #15 in Juco top 50. 16 pts a game 8.5 rebounds 70% free throws 46% 3 pt 1.5 steals 40" verticle He is a soph but really his 1st full year of playing -- got hurt after only few games as a freshman -- missed rest of year. Pretty much plays 2-guard -- small forward for Three Rivers. Has put on bout 10 lbs muscle but still needs more for next level. He may be recruited for 2-guard in D-1 -- don't look for him to be a big rebounder at next level. He goes up agaist a few big people in Juco but not every night like in D-1. Like i said he plays the 2 - 3 for us , as we have another 6' 9" Russian and a 6' 11" kid also. I think he needs to be more consistent but this is 1st time he has been ask to play outside but his future is at the 2-3.
