He was in a video game about football back in the day.

Matt Norlander = tool. Guy is a national college basketball writer and thinks it's easier to make the dance in the Valley than in the A10.

Can anyone else confirm that Welmer will miss 7+ months with this foot injury?

I would be happy with 6th place and a top 100 finish.

There really is no way to elegantly leave an NBA team for a college team given how much later their schedule goes. What other choice did he have?
There is no elegant way to do it. If he really wants the job then he'll leave rather than miss the spring period. Not that the Thunder have any real title chances either.

Weird that he just got up and left the Thunder during the playoff push.

The Memphis Redbirds? Not sure if it would be fair for A-10 baseball players to play against near-MLB players.

I'll take the second coming of Michael Jordan and a throw in of LeBron James. I'm sure Zion Williamson would come here then too. (I don't know how to blue font on mobile)
Disagree, both scholarships should be given to Arron Hines.

Has Donovan expressed interest? If so, then why is he not the frontrunner?

Seems every year the NCAA puts the "mid-majors" against one another 1st round and hides them from the Power 5. This year with VCU-St Mary's and Wichita St-Dayton. It's quite blatant.
It's extremely blatant. Doesn't make any sense either, as WSU fans travel really well.

The first 3 seasonss at IU were a complete rebuild. In the six seasons after that Crean went to 3 Sweet Sixteens, went to the NCAA four times and won the conference twice. Bobby Knight had zero conference championships and zero Sweet Sixteens in his final six years at IU. Since end of the 1992-93 season Indiana has won the Big 10 a total of 3 times. Tom Crean has two of those titles in the last six seasons. Since end of the 1992-93 season Indiana has advanced past the second round of the NCAA tournament only 4 times total. Tom Crean was was the coach of three of those teams in the last six seasons.
Maybe I'm in the minority but I still consider them one of the blue bloods along with UK, Duke, UNC, KU, UCLA, etc. If they haven't had a string of really good seasons since the 90s then maybe they're not. But Crean was making $3M a year which is one of the highest in the country, so they have the ability to pay like a blue blood program.

I tend to agree with this sentiment
Make the tournament basically every year. S16 or further most years. Not losing by double digits in the first round of the NIT.

Where did Mizzou come up with $3.5M a year for a basketball coach?
-
Jeff Goodman reporting that it's basically a done deal. He will definitely reach out to Gordon. Let's skip to November so he can sign and make it official.

Illinois is better job than Mizzou.
By a very wide margin.
Better job, Illinois or NC State?

I had mixed feelings on Wackadoo's in the BSC back in the day. I liked the atmosphere but the service was absolutely terrible. When it became Salsarita's, I liked that more. The nachos and quesadillas were pretty good, and you didn't have to wait for your food as you basically served yourself.

This "story" certainly has spiraled out of control. One guy on Mizzou's Rivals page pulls some names out of his rear end and we get pages and pages of posts about how terrible it would be if Ford left.

Can the Marquette fan please be put on a post-per-day limit?

30 straight road losses. Last road win was January 2014. Haith was the coach. Anderson has not won a road game yet as their coach.

Count me as someone that doesn't like the change from "Billiken Basketball" to "Billikens Basketball." Second one just sounds clunky.

Maybe since the BE split and the "Power Five" was formed. No way it's true for all time, Derrick Rose to Memphis in CUSA instantly comes to mind.
